I think you need to re-watch it. Honestly, it is so powerful. Just like The Hunchback. Has such a good message. Beautiful art. And has one of the best songs ever made for a Disney movie.

Really? Are you seriously going to go there?
That hellfire song does not
instantly change into a happy song. I call exaggeration. There is a transition. And don't even go there. So many of the other Disney movies change from the villain's song to a cheerful tune or scene.

Why should Pocahontas's(the Disney movie) interpretation of the history of the actual story be so important? Like I've said before, the ♥♥♥♥ing animals
talk in every film.. except Pocahontas aha. The movie never made
me think that's how it really happened. I wasn't an ill informed child, I guess. Just like I didn't think animals could talk.
Also, ALL history isn't accurate anyway. We don't
really know how everything happened.
And the same thing with Hunchback. Why does it matter so much that the story was changed a bit for children, AND to stuff it into an hour and a half?
Do you realize how many stories/movies you watch and enjoy are just adaptations from the originals? I mean, look at Hercules. The Disney interpretation. Nothing like how the actual myth goes. I especially like how they leave out Herc going crazy and murdering his wife and children

Hunchback is such a moving, emotional, mature film for a Disney movie. The music is also amazing. And it's quite funny too. And it's a pity that just because it is a "rape" of the the old classic you don't like it. I wonder if maybe you never gave it a real chance because of that.. That would be a bias =/

I cannot see how anyone over the age of six can seriously watch that trash and enjoy it.
Also, I recently went through my nice collection of almost every Disney film and watched each one.
I realized that The Rescuers is a very, very good movie. I haven't seen it in so long.
And Pinocchio is a lot better than I remembered.
I also didn't realize how much I like the music from Cinderella and Snow White.
Oh, and Sleeping Beauty is a lot better than I remembered too.
