RIP John Hughes

John Hughes, director and writer of beloved and classic films like Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Weird Science and The Breakfast Club has passed away from a heart attack. He was 59.

His films are, hands down, the best ever targeted towards and for the teenage generation. Doesn't matter how old they get, the messages and stories they told are ones that are going to appeal to and be identified with for decades to come. And aside from those, he's directed some of the most classic comedies in modern film.

So at least he has a timeless legacy.

Re: RIP John Hughes

Holy crap, I swear this is the Summer with the most celebrity deaths.

Also, Ferris Buelher and Breakfast Club were awesome.
