Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

i CANT ****ING WAIT!

5th was horrible, may see this one if enough of my friends go.

I was just over on the HB-P Wikipedia page to read some of the reviews for it, but I ended up reading some of what they've kept in the film and what they didn't and I can say I'm not too thrilled.
There are a number of changes from the book in the film. Much of the book's ending has been changed, with the climactic battle and Dumbledore's funeral being removed. Heyman commented that the end battle was removed to "(avoid) repetition" with the forthcoming adaptation of Deathly Hallows. The funeral was removed as it was believed it did not fit with the rest of the film.[72] The collapse of a Muggle bridge mentioned briefly in the book serves as the film's opening sequence.[73] Scenes of Diagon Alley being demolished by Death Eaters and an attack on the Burrow by Bellatrix Lestrange and werewolf Fenrir Greyback are added, as can be seen in the trailers. All but two of the memory scenes, including that of the Gaunts, have been cut. Only the flashbacks of Tom Riddle at the orphanage and Riddle asking Slughorn about Horcruxes, shown twice, remain.[73] Yates said they made the decision to compress the memories, but still "got some really cool ones".[74] Characters who are cut include the Dursleys, Kreacher, Dobby, Bill and Fleur, Rufus Scrimgeour, Cornelius Fudge and the Muggle Prime Minister. However, Quidditch,[75] being excluded from the previous film, returns. Bellatrix Lestrange will also participate in the battle of the astronomy tower, whereas she did not in the book, as seen in a picture with the Carrows and Greyback, celebrating Dumbledore's death. In the book, on the Hogwarts Express, after he is paralysed and hidden under his Invisibility Cloak by Draco Malfoy, Harry is rescued by Nymphadora Tonks. In the film, Luna Lovegood saves him instead, using her Spectrespecs to find him.
Seems like it's suffering from what happened in the last three movies. Too much stuff to include so they go and rearrange/change it to suckier ways.

I wonder what's gonna happen in the 7th where the audience needs some of the info to understand wtf is happening. =/

The climax, from what I hear, wasn't panned out that well.

At least there is some light on the screen (when compared to previous films).

The movies have so far been 2>4>1>5>3 IMO, much different than the books.

I dont think so. Sure some of that stuff left out was pretty relevent, i think they made it so the stuff they left in would be more relevent. Considering what was left out of the last two movies, this is pretty minimal. Yeah im not exactly thrilled they left out Dumbledore's funeral but im excited to see what they did with the rest of the book which will be in the movie! The trailer i last saw showed something cool: Malfoy and how he begins to change and its visible. I found that cool.

also you just cant say "omg its gonna suck" before you even see it.

I am soooooooo very excited for this one to come out. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is definitely by far the movie I have waited most for this summer. The midnight showing for it sold out here in about 20 minutes. However, luckily my boss gave me free tickets to the movie and this free dinner called the "Wizard's Ball" >< It shall be fun though considering it's Harry Potter and it's all free xD

I'll most likely see it just for the heck of it.

I'll try to forget all aboutt he book so maybe I'll actually be interested in a Harry Potter movie for once.

Haven't read those books in about 2 years

I can't wait for it to tell you the truth.
I never saw the 5th movie but I am finished with the book, and I must say, the 6th one must be better.

I thought 3 was terrible, but to each his own

I'm mildly interested in the movies since I liked the books, so I might watch this. Not sure if I'll pay to watch it; might just get a pirated copy of it as it hits DVD, but I'll watch it nonetheless...

I'm going to see it in a couple days with my sister and one of my friends.

I'm gonna watch it for ****s and giggles (to see how much they messed up the movie in comparison to the book).
