Re: David Jason - Underrated?
I've found that Hollywood often ignores talent from outside it's national borders. I believe I've seen the characters in that third picture, so I'm assuming I've seen some of his work. I don't often see things from across the pond though, unless you count Coronation Street.

Re: David Jason - Underrated?
Only the most vicious and opportunistic of social climbers 'make it' in Hollywood. See David's one-time colleague: Catherine Zeta Jones and a host of other sociopaths including Simon Cowell, Ricky Gervais, and Gordon 'Don't ask about my affairs 'Ramsey.
Also, given how Brits tend to turn pretty quickly on anybody who cracks America, I think it's a blessing that he's stuck to Britain. Hollywood is a poisoned chalice. Once American TV/film producers get there hands on anything that was popular in Britain, they immediately ruin it. I have a cage full of doves to release when Simon Pegg falls. He should have stuck to playing sex offenders on Channel 4 spoof documentaries. |

Re: David Jason - Underrated?
David Jason is a legend of British television. Only Fools and Horses is one of my favourite TV series of all time, and A Touch of Frost is fantastic despite rarely being on these days. I'm glad he was never picked up by Hollywood, though. There's something about him that only really works if you're British.

Re: David Jason - Underrated?
Count Duckula was awesome. I remember when they did a stage tour of it and I went to see it as a 6 year old.
