Spider-Man 4

Well, I just noticed this on Rotten Tomatoes and Aintitcool, so I figured I'd start a thread about it. Who will be the villain? Where do Pete and MJ go from here? Will Venom be revived through the wonders of Deus Ex Machina?

The poster doesn't SEEM to give anything away, but...

...let the speculation commence!

Lizard will probally be the villain as Pete and MJ, I dont know hopefully she dies she is an annoying character. I think these could be possible secondary villains

Electro
Hobgoblin (Dear God no)

I hope its better than the last one. But as long as Bruce Campbell makes a cameo appearance like in the last 3 I'll be happy.

i dont know.. it needs to make a change drastically if it is going to be successful again.

They're giving Sam Raimi complete creative control this time around. Something they didn't do in the previous movie.

the last movie of spider was really bad there was no action i hope this one is good

They haven't released too much info. but they said that they will probably use Carnage, the Lizard, and Kraven the Hunter to be the main villains. They also said they might use the movie to help set up the Sinister Six in Spidermana 5 or 6.

They ****ed up Venom, so their second chance goes to Carnage. Please, PLEASE make Carnage good.
I also want to see Hobgoblin. He's a true menace! No more of that "New Goblin" ****.

At this point, I'd leave it at that. I want only ONE villain present, two max. The third movie knew they screwed up when they put in 3!

They ****ed up spider-man 3 period.

Spider Man is starting to get annoying. I dont think there needs to be another one.

I gave up on Spiderman after the **** they did to Venom in the movies. Watch they're going to promise someone like Carnage and then make him a minor villain and focus on Kraven the Hunter or White Rabbit or something.

seriously, i am not looking forward to this.

I doubt they will use Carnage, because one of the conditions of Sam Raimi returning was that he have more creative control over the story, and he hated the Venom storyline in the comics and never wanted to use the villain in the first place.

The Lizard is probably one of the strongest possibilities, since Curt Connors has though Raimi has said he's interested in using a villain that is more associated with New York, so Kraven or The Kingpin are possible. Morbius is also being tossed around in rumour circles.

They should bring Venom back. They really didn't do him any justice. Topher Grace, as much as i love him, just wasn't right for the part. Venom also could have easily filled up a movie himself. He didn't need any other villians like the Sandman and the Goblin... He deserved his own movie.
It's too bad Topher Grace was cast as Venom becuase he would do such a better Carnage.

Venom is getting his own movie so I doubt he will be back. My money is on Lizard.

Like they did at the end of Iron Man (Nick Fury appearing before Iron Man/Tony Stark) and then at the end of The Incredible Hulk (Tony Stark appears at the end)

Spider-Man 3 would've been fine if they hadn't used Venom. If 3 had been about Pete getting the black suit and beating Sandman with it, and they story left that ongoing for 4 when it becomes Venom, that would have been better.

Spiderman isn't in the Avengers. He is in the new Avengers I believe but not in the Avengers that the Movie is going to be based off of.

Nope. Spider-Man's film options are still owned by Sony, whereas Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, and the rest of the ones that are gonna be in the Avengers are owned by Paramount. So there won't be crossover.
