I have read some reviews that say it sucks, but I've read more good than bad. Everyone's going to be a harsh critique on it because it was low-budget, no-name characters, and people have different views on how Zelda or a Zelda movie should be. You just don't know until you see it. |

Re: The Hero of Time Zelda Movie
Why? I'll never own the rights and all a fan film would do is give the fan boys something to talk about. A Zelda film is very costly.
If the people behind this film gave me the entire lot of cash they used to make their film, I STILL wouldn't have enough to make a decent film. Their costumes suck, the green screens suck, the actors aren't very talented, the makeup sucks... They just didn't know what the Hell they were doing. |

Seriously, no Zelda fan in their right mind would take that film seriously. If their dream was to spend a whole bunch of money to make a poorly done Zelda fan film.. Then congrats to them. They did it. Personally, I don't care. I didn't make the film. It's not my problem. But when these kids decide to do something meaningful with their lives and go "Oh ****.. We gots no dollas" they can at least look back at ~The Hero of Time~ |

-I've seen enough of it to know how poorly done it is. Everything the trailers and clips show proves that this film is horrible. So I do have a right to judge the film. I have the right to judge w/e the Hell I want. And I'm not butt hurt. At the end of the day, I don't give a ***** about the film. I didn't make it, I don't have to live with the shame of knowing I'm responsible for it. If you wanna go sit with the circle jerk of morons pretending to like this movie, go ahead. Idc. |

Re: The Hero of Time Zelda Movie
I just saw the trailer. This is a joke, right?
Well, it made me laugh. I'm not even going to take this movie seriously. It looks worse than the made-for-TV SciFi movies =P If they really do make a Zelda movie(that actually has previews on TV and in the theater), I think they will have a very hard time making it good enough for me. It's kind of how Peter Jackson decided to make LOTR into movies or like the making of the Twilight movies from the book series. It is a hard job to adapt something with so many hard core fans into a film that will be likable and stay true to the original book/game/whatever. The general public who have never played Zelda games may just enjoy a huge Zelda movie/trilogy easily, but I will be very hard on any Zelda film made. It is very personal for us Zelda nerds. You have to have to have to have the RIGHT actors play the main parts(Link better be someone unknown who can still act). You cannot change too much of whatever game is being made into the movie(the fact that Link must talk in a Zelda movie will make me angry). And you have to have the best graphics for a Zelda movie. Honestly, I hope they just leave Zelda alone. Let it be a game. Hollywood already ruined the Twilight books for me =/ Peter Jackson however did a pretty good job with LOTR. But it's just too much of a risk. Things don't always turn out good. The Day the Earth Stood Still was ruined for me with the 2008 remake release with Keanu Reeves =/ Absolutely terrible.

Face it, when has there ever been a good movie based off of a video game?
Exactly.

I couldn't help but to lol through the whole trailer xD this is the absolute proof that The legend of zelda is not meant for live-action movies.

It's definitely not proof of that. That's like me trying to paint a picture, failing miserably and saying ~This is proof that painting something good is impossible for anyone~

Re: The Hero of Time Zelda Movie
I agree, it should be made digitally, like in the style of FF Advent Children or something.
