The Man With No Name Trilogy...
Does anyone else like this old Western trilogy with Clint Eastwood as the main character? If you don't know, the trilogy consisted of: "A Fistfull of Dollars", "For a Few Dollars More", and "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly."
My favorite one of the three is "For a Few Dollars More" even though I do like "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" almost as much... |

Re: The Man With No Name Trilogy...
By far my pick for my favorite movies of all time. My avatar alone is at least a suggestion of it (though that's Outlaw Josey Wales in my avatar, I believe). Since the day I first saw "A Fistful of Dollars", I was aching to find the other two movies and complete the set. I can only say I've never been disappointed by them. As for favorites, I'm not sure if I rellay have one, but I like how the plot of "For a Few Dollars More" really begins to come full circle where it needs to, in short.
As for other westerns I like that star Clint Eastwood, you ever see High Plains Drifter? |

No, but its on my netflix queue... I loved The Outlaw Josey Wales (yes, I believe that that is indeed Josey Wales as your avatar, because he has two revolvers and I don't know of any other Clint Eastwood movies where he has two...). That was one of the greatest westerns I've ever seen. I love the part where he talks to the girl about the three different suns/sons that come out of Mississippi.
(Hmmm... I should've just named this thread "Clint Eastwood Fans"...) |

Re: The Man With No Name Trilogy...
Some of the best movies my eyes have ever witnessed. My dad always watches them and one day he showed them to me.
I'm not quite sure I can pick a favorite. They are all so dear to me. The fact that they where shot in Italy makes it better. I couldn't believe that when I first heard it, I feel like it's more foreign of a film nowadays. You rarely see good films like these anymore. Especially westerns. One favorite Clint Eastwood movie I love it Pale Rider. It was made during the 1980s so it's got a bit fresher cleaned up tone to it. It's a good story and I like how once again, you don't actually know his name, he just goes by "Preacher". I've heard that Gran Torino was his last film he'd act in. As good as that film was, I think he should do one more film to finish off his acting career.. and what better genre then a western? I don't care if they pull an Indy 4 on the man with no name trilogy. Just do it! I'd love to see him in his poncho and cowboy hat on the big screen. It's upsetting to say the least, that few of today's youth is blinded from these amazing movies. Instead they're brainwashed into watching movies about a girl and a vampire and a lot of bad acting.. Ahh, what a waste. It seems even the terrible movies from the 70s/80s are better then today's terrible movies. |
