Reboot: The Movie
This has been in and out of the internet news for a while. Reboot, a successful Canadian show about the lives of computer sprites living in MainFrame is going to become a movie. The show Reboot is note worthy simply because it was the first tv show of its kind, fully computer animated. For the first couple of seasons it was shown on ABC in America and YTV in Canada. The show is infamous for its many conflicts with BS&P (Broadcasting Standards and Practices) and ABC. I personally excited about this movie, which will be the first of a trilogy.

Re: Reboot: The Movie
Yeah I seen it a while back, ♥♥♥♥ will be awesome. From what I understand the intentions is to be kind of a...reboot of the franchise, perhaps. That could really be a good or bad thing, while the original Transformers animated series wasn't by Rainmaker they DID do a similar concept with Beast Wars and it turned out to be the superior series in the process. In the very least I don't think it's going to be a retcon by definition but it'll probably feature a new mainframe with new characters with various references that lead to the past series I'd imagine to get new watchers more accessibility to the franchise. At least that would give it a chance to tie the loose ends Reboot had in the process.
It's a welcome from them creating those godawful Barbie movies for the past few years at least.

Geeze, I watched the crap out of this when I was a youngin'. I honestly can't remember much from that show now, besides minutes being like years and one of the characters using the word "digits" a lot. Still, It's a definite "going to check out" for me.

Ah, one of the best (probably my favorite) shows of my childhood.
I am still watching this on TeleToon Retro, and I have all seasons on DVD. More on Topic, I got the news of that movie from a magazine I bought 3 months ago and I've been excited since then. I hope it'll be a success..

Re: Reboot: The Movie
Unless there is Hexadecimal, I will find this movie sucky.
Reboot was damn good back in the day, but after hearing so many rumours and seeing the directions Rainmaker wanna take with the franchise, like dropping the tron-esque computery-filled dialogue with straight forward English language, making the characters more human...I'm not sure. Could be a good surprise, might just piss of 15 year's worth of old Guard fans who still remain loyal to the series. I hope they get it right, I really, really do. And long live HexaDecimal! <3

Re: Reboot: The Movie
It is a remake of the series, is it not?
Hex is important, so she's going to be there too. If they're no remakes, then I guess no Hex.

Re: Reboot: The Movie
I don't think it's been specified.
And they can hardly remake the entire series in three movies I'd imagine... Last I heard I thought it was simply taking place at more or less the same place CoH takes place after the main series, but with a completely different storyline. Updated series remake would be absolutely fantastic! ![]() They had a lot of brilliant ideas and such they really wanted to implement but were prevented to due to the absolute nazi-esque censoring of their network for the first two season.

Re: Reboot: The Movie
^I don't really know my complete source, but all I can say is they're my bro's. One of his friends has a girlfriend in Ontario and goes there 1 week every two weeks. It just happened that while doing some intense shopping with her, he stumbled upon a set of ReBoot DVDs. He bought it for himself, but he.... made copies for my brother, because I guess they're rare. <.<
If I have a chance to speak with him, I'll ask him where he got them and tell you where he got them (in Ontario).

Yes HexaDecimal. One of the best characters in the show, I think.

*After a kick-ass Electric Guitar battle with bob* "I've always wanted to do that" - Mike "Ladies and gentlemen, Megabyte has left the building!" Yes. Very incredible. Maybe they'll write Megabyte off (sadly) in order to preserve the epicness of his voice? Or just not use him in the film. x3

That was a fun moment, the guitar battle. I'm sure anyone with a Barry White-esque voice could in theory voice Megabyte. Won't be the same but still.

OR, or when the come back to find Mainframe in Ruins and Irony buts him on his metal ass. x3 Possibly, but to me Megabyte will always sound that way and anything else would be weird. =/

The episode where Dot got actual breasts, instead of that god awful uni-shelf boob that BS&P made them put on her. Plus the intro is a parody of the James Bond movie Goldfinger
