Re: Paranormal Activity

It was decent in that it produced actual severe chills in me.

Only because nobody told me it was fake. I kind of figured it out when things started getting a little too drastic to not have been an international news sensation.

All in all, worth the hassle of having to sneak into see it. I'm not actually old enough.

Re: Paranormal Activity

I went in expecting a very low budget indie horror film that for what it was worth was a well made and coherent film. I was not disappointed in the least. One of the best surprises in film for 2009.

Re: Paranormal Activity

That movie was the biggest waste of an hour and a half in my life. I kept waiting for something scary to happen, but it never did. The plot didn't even become interesting until the movie was about 10 minutes from being over, and the interesting bits only lasted a few seconds before it reverted back to the same crap. It reminded me a ton of the Blair Witch Project. Except in a house. Filming style was obviously the same, it was the same in the sense that stuff only seemed to happen at nighttime, and even then it wasn't that scary, and it was the same in the sense that it ended right as it started to get remotely good.

I hated it. Did not live up to the hype even in the slightest. That must be why the trailers were mostly of the audience and not of the movie itself, cause the movie didn't enough scary clips to make up a commercial.

Gahhhh.

Re: Paranormal Activity

i thouught it was an amazing movie! although the whole thing was amazing, only two parts sent true chills up my spine and i couldnt sleep at night because of them!
when katie screamed her head off 5 minutes before the movie ended, and when she got dragged across the hallway.
but then yesterday, i found out that it was realy acting.... (im WAAAAAAYY too gullible!)

Paranormal Activity is the scariest film I have ever seen.
