The Land Before Time

I dunno why, but just a little while ago, this big movie series just popped into my head. It reminded me how much I used to watch these movies due to my love for dinosaurs.

The songs were really fun too. My favorite was "It Takes All Sorts" from the fourth movie and still is, I guess. I started singing it too, haha. I can actually make my voice sound like Ali's when I do too...weird. XD

Anyway, did anyone else grow up with these movies? I certainly did. My favorites are a toss up between The Great Longneck Migration (number 10) and The Time of the Great Giving (number 3). Close behind is The Secret of Saurus Rock (number 6). Here's a list of the current movies in order.

That's twelve movies, but who knows, there could be more. XD I've also never seen 7, 9, 11, or 12.

There's also a TV show btw. It's actually good for a movie series turned show too.

Pretty nostalgic series for me. The first one is the only one that's any good. It turned into sing song bull**** after that.

I think I've watched the first four. I preferred the first movie by miles, but the others weren't too bad.

Grew up watching these movies to. I personally think that the third movie was the best one. My favorite character is Chomper. I have only up to The Big Freeze because I lost intrest in them after the four movie and only continued to watch the movies with my youger sister Sydnie. She used to be really into dinosaurs and wacthed the movies all the time when she was younger. I would still watch the first three movies if they were to be payed on tv but thats about it.

I saw the first two, but by far, the first was the most grim and memoriable one.

The first movie is an incredible movie, and its no wonder considering some of the folks behind it.

Everything subsequent was way below it, but I remember being pretty entertained with the maybe four or five directly after it. But I remember even back then it was pretty much a joke for having so many sequels. Had no idea that there are twelve of them now.

You know, even though I really liked the movie, one thing didn't make sense about The Great Longneck Migration. Ali and her herd never appeared in it. Weren't all the longnecks supposed to be attracted to that one crater area? xP

Eh, oh well. It was still really cool to finally find out who Littlefoot's father was. Ali was always my favorite character though...

There are so many amazing things about the first movie,
but holy ****! The music was powerful.

The first one is simply amazing. A bit depressing, but amazing.

The first one was sad as hell. I used to cry as a little kid every time I watched it and often avoided it for the reason it made me think of my mom dying.. >.>

Nostalgia is off the charts here.

It got gay at around number 7 or 8.

Also, once you grow past sing alongs, it makes them almost unwatchable;e XD.

The first one is a big nostalgia trip for me. I heard it on tape before I actually watched it, which was weird, but meh. While I did watch some of the ones after, and several episodes of the tv-series, nothing really compares to the first one.

I hate them dinosaurs.

They take me to places I don't want to go back to.

The first movie was too depressing for me. It wasn't bad though.

That is a very nice song, but it sounds more like something out of Fantasia than Land Before Time. xP

Maybe I'm too used to the songs they actually sing in the movies lol. I mean, I didn't see the first movie first after all. My first was the fourth movie, then the second and third, THEN the first I think. I still thought It Takes All Sorts was the most beautiful song in the series.



I also have to agree with some of the comments in this video. Ali sings so pretty and cute-like. x3

My sentiments are practically identical to everyone else's (the intelligent ones, anyway); the first movie was brilliant, especially the music, and the sequels were alright when I was a kid, but are otherwise pretty crap.

Are you calling me stupid? That isn't very nice.

Anyway, these weren't far behind for second in my favorite LBT songs. :3







Who Needs You and When You're Big are just funny, plus catchy. XD

Kids Like Us is a pretty one like It Takes All Sorts. Yeah, I thought the third and fourth movies had the best songs.

Seeing how I first saw the sequels in Swedish, I'm really not that fond of the singing parts. Mostly because the voice actors can't carry a note to save their lives. Not that they're much better in the English versions, but the Swedish songs are kinda horrid, looking back at it now. And it just gets worse with every sequel.

Wow, this series was awesome... The music, animation, characters... it all brings back memories.
The only episodes that I can distinctively remember right now are the first and seventh ones.

I really loved the movies. I've watched most of them when i was little. I was a really big fan of dinosaurs those days. Lots of good memories. I think the first movie was the best.
