Post Who will win? Vote! (NFL)

I remember a thread a while back that I liked. I looked around and did not see it, so I decided to make another for this NFL season.

Basically, every week starting August 1, I will post the list of games that week, You will pick which one will win each game. Then after that week is over, we reveal who picked right.

I may need someone to help me post the schedule just in case I am too busy to.

Are you all in?

Re: Who will win? Vote! (NFL)

Isn't that was how we started in the NFL thread last season?
I remember always got the noon games right, but the later stuff killed me.

If we can keep it up, then yeah, I'm in.

In other NFL news, Ben Roethlisburger seems to have gotten a new nickname recently.

Re: Who will win? Vote! (NFL)

I'm in, but we should have individual week winners rather than a year long thing because those extra long ones always die out, just my opinion.

and Brett Favre is staying retired, bad news for the Vikings.

Why? They might actually win a game in December without him.

I'm in for voting.

I thought he had more class than that.
But he's going to get his way. The 49ers are thin at WR and one of their players got hurt in practice this week...

I actually hope the 49ers don't give in, he waits the year gets a horrible draft number like 20th overall then bombs.

Re: Who will win? Vote! (NFL)

Ironic thing is that he'll end up with less money if he goes back into the draft, no team would waste a first on him knowing that he'll act like a spoiled brat if he doesn't get what he wants, not to mention that there will be better receivers in next year's draft. Holding out for less money... genius.

Vick to the Iggles!

The scary thing about the Iggles was that this appeared like a team not only capable but also hellbent on the Superbowl, especially with Jim Johnson's passing. The upcoming storm of the Vick circus is going to jive with that.

Still - Vick, McNabb and Westbrook in the same backfield = Scary thought.

Wildcat - - - > Wild dog?

Re: Who will win? Vote! (NFL)

why do people still think Vick is a good QB? He was an average QB at best, however he is an athelete and he made plays but I doubt he'll do much this year. He has been out of football shape for a long time.

Indeed he was horrible (all those forced throws reminded me of Cutler with a weaker arm), hopefully next week they give Simms a chance with the first team offense as he looked pretty good.

Although it's pretty sad that with 3 turnovers the 49ers only won because the Broncos didn't want to go to overtime.

The defense looked decent which is a pleasant surprise, although it was against the 49ers... a long way to go, but it is only the first preseason game so the sky isn't falling in Denver, yet.

Ted Ginn played very well, if he has a b reak out season I'll do back flips.

Oh and Sean Smith is for real.

Re: Who will win? Vote! (NFL)

Here is hoping that he has his career ended by the Packers during their first meeting.

I really can't stand Farve. He is an attention whore of the worst kind. So lets see...

He has skipped mini camps, OTA's, and training camp; yet wants to be part of that team.
He skipped camp because he didn't want to put in the work and live like they lived; yet wants to be part of the team.
Sage and Jackson thought they were competing for #1; yet they are nothing but clip board jockeys once again.
One major problem with the Jets was that he had no chemistry with the team; yet he hasn't taken one snap with the Vikings.
He cried how much he loved the Packers and the fans; yet he just took a huge dump on them.
He then says he is going to stayed retired; yet he knew all along that he was going to play.

btw...Sage and Jackson, don't expect Farve to help you further your progress. Look how he refused to help Rogers if you need to know just what kind of leader and teammate Farve is.

Re: Who will win? Vote! (NFL)

Favre helped Rodgers.
He initially said he didn't want to when they drafted him, but he was definitely seen giving Rodgers pointers quite a few times. He softened up.

Agreed on the selfishness involving skipping offseason workout stuff though.
