Pittsburgh gets both Super Bowl AND Stanley Cup this Year!

Pittsburgh is once again the city of champions so far! I'm so proud to be from there.

It's only too bad that the Pirates have sucked lately. I doubt we will get all three. But still, the Super Bowl AND Stanley cup are pretty good! The last time we've had both wasn't for a good long time.

BUT. There still a chance for the Pirates to push hard this year in the baseball season and try to score a triple win. Personally, I'd hope for it, but the chance seems slim anyway. When Pittsburgh got the Super Bowl and baseball championship, the Penguins tried to join in, but failed and we never got that triple. What do you all think?

As for me, even if I think the chance isn't real high, I'm still proud to be from a city of champions. x3

I don't mind the Penguins winning.
I don't mind the Penguins winning in OUR Arena.

But at least our fans had enough dignity to not clear out while they were skating with the Stanley Cup, unlike most of the people at Mellon Arena last year when the Red Wings won it there last year. Which is a reason that I will always hate Pittsburgh sports teams, and (most of) their fans. It's nothing personal.

Then I won't take it personally. ;P

To be honest, I'll actually be kinda surprised if the Pirates do get us that triple win. ._.

Anyways, I really don't like the Pens, but they damn sure impressed me in this Cup Finals, and their win made hockey way more interesting than the Wings winning again (against the same team, no less). And Fleury has turned me into a fan of his, especially for that last save.

Pittsburgh impressed me in their Super Bowl win though. Can you believe what James Harrison freaking did when the Cardinals were a mere few yards away from scoring? That play was ****ing amazing. Best play the Steelers ever did! I hope Harrison's name goes down in history for this for a long time. xP

I never got to see the Stanley Cup finals, but...

Lol, i bought tickets to see the Blue Jays game weeks ago, and then it turns out that game 7 is on the same day. The arena was barren! 10000 people in the building at the most.
I snuck into one of the private box seats with the TVs to watch the game. Most of the people in there were cheering for Pittsburg, so it was fun watching it there.
I'm not a fan of the Pens, but i hate Detriot.
I would just like to add this: Yay! Pittsburg won!! And that traitor Hossa got to lose again!

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they put Hossa on Suicide Watch.

lol I'm not surprised. Pittsburgh's teams have TONS of fans. I mean Super Bowl 40 had freaking 90% Steelers fans in the bleachers! XD

Superbowl XL was played in Detroit, which is a lot closer to Pittsburgh than Seattle.

It's still a LOT of Steelers fans, no matter how close Detroit is to either city. Plus, Detroit is still pretty far from Pittsburgh anyway.

Traitor? You should be thankful he left.
Hossa being with the Wings made it easier for the Pens because he was too scared to do anything against his old team.

I'm not a Penguins fan, but my bf was cheering for Detroit. so naturally I was cheering for the Penguins. But I have a friend in Quebec who is a HUGE Penguins fan. I can only imagine him right now. haha. Congrats Pittsburgh!!

Well, I hope Pittsburgh learned that Crosby isn't the god of hockey.
With 1 goal, 2 assists and a +/- of -3, he didn't do anything but get hurt.

All I can do now is hope that Doug Wilson doesn't completely rip apart the President Trophy winning Sharks but does make a few changes. Particularly getting rid of Grier and Cheechoo.

I just want to get this out of the way now. I an not a Pittsburg fan. I just prefered them over Detriot.

He was a good, not great, but good player that went to play on the Pens current #1 enemy. I find it so funny that he lost in the finals, went to the team he played against in the finals, and then lost in the finals again. How often does that even happen? It's hilarious!

Oh, and changes must be made to the Sharks. They are a great team, but when it comes down to it, you have to be able to perform in the playoffs. They can't so some changes have to happen.

GET RID OF THORNTON,CLOWE,MICHALEK,ERHOFF,NABAKOV,MARLEAU chants are ridiculous. Everyone seems to want Doug Wilson to get rid of everyone but Boyle, Setoguchi, and Mitchell.

The Joe Thornton stuff is especially ridiculous, sure he choked again, but he still pulled in the most points and is one of our most valuable players in the regular season.
