March Madness

Is anyone going to be watching the NCAA tournament this year, or make a bracket at all? If you made one, who do you have picked for the final four and the tournament champion?

I've picked Kansas, Connecticut, UNC, and UCLA to be in the final four, with Kansas beating UCLA in the championship game.

I intended to watch nine hours of 'ball today, breaking three hours for class.... then Villanova almost imploded and I had to spend geometry in the back of the class with my laptop open on the floor in front of me. Jerks... ;P

Not the greatest first round in history so far; some tight ball no doubt (Texas this morning was stellar, and Sallie out of Memphis had every player's dream game) but sloppy scares and ugly blowouts scrapped my hopes of edge-of-your-seat final minutes. Still, the tournament's the tournament; nothin else like it.

I'm running in 3 bracket comps (with work, with residence, with friends and family). Assuming Illinois doesn't shoot themselves in the foot, I'll be down 1 in each (Clemson being the only botch so far). The bracket I have the most confidence in takes Pitt to the championship against Louisville, with Pitt taking it all. NC and Louisville win in the other two brackets. Figure that gives me ~60% of being right <<somewhere>>.

UCLA scared me a bit this evening, but I'm so happy they beat VCU for two reasons:

1) I have UCLA going to the championship game, and
2) VCU is my school's biggest rival, so seeing them suffer is always a treat ^-^

Yeah, Illinois will screw some stuff up for me, too, since I have them going to the Sweet 16.

At least it's not like last year where an entire section of my bracket got screwed up because I had Gonzaga going to the Final Four and they lost in the first round Stupid Gonzaga...

I almost had a heart attack when Purdue was losing, Jesus.

I have two brackets.
One has Pitt, Michigan St, Syracuse and Purdue in the final four (Cuse takes the title)
The other is Louisville, UCLA, UNC and Marquette in the finals (Louisville takes it)

You laugh, but my stupid random upset 3 seed pick worked a few years ago when I was the only one out of 600 people in my pool to pick Florida. Their 800$ was SWEEEEET.
