ZU Chess League?

Anyone wanna start a chess league?

Basically the way I see it is, you can play two other opponants at one time, and you play them twice(black and white). Start off with 100 points, if you win, gain 20 points, if you lose, you lose 20 points. Stalemate adds 10 points to both players lists.

if you go to Online Chess - RedHotPawn.com you can register there then post a link to the winning move to say who won and who lost etc.

Also I guess we'll work out a challenge system so that people can't rise to the top of the league and refuse to play to remain there.


Anyway, anyone up for it?

I used to play chess at my school before they canceled it, so I just might join this if it gets underway.

People whom spell opponents with an 'a' can't place chess. State law. Also, chees? We ned gramer.

Time controls are stupid. How customizable are they? I don't want to play if a game can take over a week.

I'm also not very good.

I'll see how many people are interested. Then if we get around 8 players(at the very least) it should work fine.

If we getthose players, then i'll ask them to join RHP, give me your username, and we'll figure out a way to make it all work nicely.


the games can span over several days and you can come back to them whenever you want as long as you purposely don't waste time, so don't think if you're playing a game you have to sit rhough the whole thing there and then.

Then don't post, the message was still clear. Don't make fun of people's dyslexia, it's pretty embarressing and I feel pretty selfconcious about my intelligence when it comes to things like spelling. It isn't funny having someone rip you when you've been consistantly told that you're stupid and there isn't anything you can do about it.

General Gaming is explicitly for video games, which chess does not qualify as. It belongs in Entertainment.

Anyway, no one interested? Doesn't matter how well you do, just for fun. It's very easy to set up, and I can do the organising.

I love chess. I'm in!

I don't want to make a commitment, but I would be up for a game some time if anyone is interested.
