What is your favorite type of poker?
Poker, poker, how art thou America's favorite card game. Yes it's the time to make a poker thread, actually it's a thread that ask, "What is your favorite type of poker?" So, what is your favorite type of poker? I for one prefer the most popular type of poker, which is Texas Holdem.

I feel Mirren will invade this thread soon..
As for me, my favorite type of poker is 5 card stud and it's offshoot, 7 card stud. Both are easy way's to learn the basics of poker and you can make quite a killing on both games.

Re: What is your favorite type of poker?
Five card stud was my favourite, and the first one I ever learned, but once Texas Hold 'Em hit it big, I was forced to switch to that if I ever wanted to play again. It's not bad, but I'm still a sucker for Five Card Stud.

Re: What is your favorite type of poker?
Texas Hold'em. Although I love Omaha. It's nice have 3-4 different draws and card combinations...
Me and my friends play have a Hold'em game pretty weekly. We don't really gamble though; we play for fun. I'm getting a lot better at reading people and detecting strength/weakness. I used to play a little more conservatively, but now I'm not afraid to make a re-raise when I smell a bluff. Seven Card Stud is OK. Isn't that exciting though for me.
