The 2009 MLB Postseason Thread

I noticed that they're wasn't a MLB thread so I decided to make one. Its a little late but hey no harm no foul. Well post here whatever thoughts you have on the MLB playoffs.

I thought the Twins were already knocked out?

Well not yet. They're down 0-2 but the yankees still have to win one game at they're place.

Well, they better ****ing beat those stupid Yanks.

Well as a yankee fan I'm confident they won't. After all, we got petitte in game 3 and they got pavano of all people. I expect a sweep.

I have this strange feeling that Boston will pull out of this 0-2 slump and win the series 3-2.

I can just tell these things. When they beat the Yanks in 04', everyone was so confident that the Yankees took a 3-0 lead, and I was like: "They still have a chance."

EDIT: AH! I wanted to vote Dodgers, but I accidentally voted Phillies!

I'm not sure which year but didn't boston come out of an 0-2 hole against oakland? I know the yankees did in 2001 but I think boston did too. I can't remember too well but I may be wrong about that. They got Clay buchholz in game 3 who has been pitching well lately and they're in fenway which is very hard for an opposing team to beat them there.

I'm voting cardinals, hahahahahahahahaha

Well the ALCS and NLCS are set now, too bad the championship series doesn't start till thursday and friday.

On another note, the umpiring has been horrific this postseason. From mauer's hit in game 2 that was called foul. A 2 year old could tell that was fair. Also, the play chase utley was involved with in fouling the ball off his foot and it was called fair. MLB has got to do something about this after the season ends.
