No, no, as I said, you can export your FL projects as MIDIs and re-import them later if you need to fix something. I just said that this amounts to the same thing but is more limiting if you make the MIDIs in another program first, instead of doing it inside FL.

I think having to do a rudimentary method of saving is a pretty good deal for not having to pay for such a fantastic program.

The biggest problem with exporting the MIDI is that if you re-import it, you have to do a lot of work if you want it to sound similar again. You obviously lose the mixer effects and things like that, and it doesn't save note slides. It does retain the separate channels and all the notes, however. You do need to put the soundfonts back on the correct channels, though, so you should name the channels accordingly.

I do agree that if you mess around with the imported MIDI you can get decent results, but I think it works so much better if you do it only in FL. After all, you're essentially doing the same thing, aren't you? That is, placing instruments and effects, tweaking notes... it amounts to the same work, only you have less to take advantage of when you don't do it ground-up in FL.

At least, this is my experience. FL's entirely visual interface makes it easy to do pretty much everything, at least to me.

Awesome. My story is practically the same as yours, with the exception that I moved to the city and not the desert. Other than that though, I too have begun growing a beard and (as a birthday present from my parents last week) finally have a computer (and a pretty damn good one at that) with which to traverse the internets.

Too bad the mods thought your thread was ****.

Don't worry. .50 calibur of action and figuring out their IPs should work.
