Secondly- no, you don't- because that's nominative thus takes 'I'.
It would also be 'My friend and I went to the store.'
But if something was happening to you it would be me-
'The store was went to by me'. It's awfully clumsy, but you can make it passive. It would then also become 'The store was went to by my friend and me.'

A good rule of thumb- If it's at the beginning of a sentence it's 'I', if it's the end then it's 'me'.
