At least give an approximate measurement for the blade's length. If the BA Councillor attending to your character asks for more, then you should follow their advice... but you'll definitely need at least the length of the blade mentioned.

I still think an approximate length would be useful, but you don't need to do any of the other measurements... or even this one for that matter, considering that it's already been approved. Use your own discretion, I think.

They're more typically known as "hand and a half" swords, longswords, or bastard swords. This is actually the first I've heard "one and a half handed sword", even though I knew what you meant.

No matter how you write it in your character profile though, you'll still need to detail its size; particularly the length & width of the blade, and optionally the length of the hilt. What the sword is made out of would also be useful information, although I believe most people assume that swords are made of good quality steel.
