Well considering they were leaving the city and fleeing far from the gate, it was heavily implied that they're not in the city. I'd appreciate it if you'd change the post a bit, as it doesn't really make sense for the location at the moment. There aren't any buildings. The current landscape is mostly rock with scattered trees. The city was in an oasis on the edge of a desert, if that helps any.

Thanks for posting, but there was one issue that you apparently overlooked. They're outside of the city walls now, meaning there are no buildings around.
