What made me get over my "fear" (more like general anxiety or uneasiness when told I had to present) was having a friend who truly didn't mind me being awkward while he was outgoing. After awhile of talking, and then being seen as more and more "normal" by my classmates I'd known for years, it just happened. I suppose it's just familiarity with people who are outgoing and are willing to spend time with someone who isn't as you learn their ways, haha. I'm sure you know what I mean.

It used to be, but I'm actually quite adept with oral presentations nowadays! I used to be much more socially awkward, which made it difficult. D:

The Shins are teh greatest ^-^ At least in my opinion.
Listen to "Australia", "Phantom Limb", "New Slang" and "Young Pilgrims". New Slang is my favorite song of all time. Probably a lot because it reminds me of when I was a freshman in HS. Good year.

Ah Muse is one of the best bands out right there right now.
You should just buy(or DL, whatever) their new album: The Resistance, and the one before it: Black Holes and Revelations. Almost all of their music from both is win.
My favorite songs by them right now are 'Undiscovered Desires', 'Knights of Cydonia', and 'Exogenesis: Symphony' (Parts 1, 2, and 3).
And you have probably heard their new song 'Uprising'. It is is also very good (:
