do exactly what you did before, join satori.

the one you said was empty.

server is called irc.gnug.org?

You clicked join room and put in satori?

can you join the zelda room?

click the wrench icon, in the upper left corner.

Then click the chat bubble icon, there should be a listing called irc.gnug.org
Right click it, then click join room. Then type in "satori", no quotations, no #.

there is a menu at the top which should be labeled Tools, just open the option in that menu labeled Email and Chat Accounts.

Then select add, it will ask for some info put whatever you like, it will ask for a nick(doesn't matter so put whatever), then it will ask for a server, erase whatever is there and put "irc.gnug.org".

It should probably open one automatically after that, then join #satori.
If it doesn't open one by itself, click the wrench looking icon in the upper left corner, and then hit the chat bubble icon, and it will have the server in there.

Naw hun, but it will pop up when you first start it and inform you that it isn't your default browser, and you can easily check the box telling it to not ask you about that again.

Whatever your default browser is, that is what will open when you use any internet link type stuff on your comp, as well as any file types associated with browsers, so when you want to use Opera you will have to do it manually.

So basically, no, as long as you tell it "No, I don't want to make you my default browser, don't ask me again." it will override nothing.

Well if you aren't against a very quick download and install you can use Opera, which comes with it's own handy irc client(it's what I use).

My channel is in the same server as the Zelda channel, but I would advise against using the forum based chatroom since that isn't as stable/efficient as Opera's chat functions.

Seen better days, do you have an irc client/web browser with irc functions?
would make it easier to chat, I can't really use messengers anymore. So I made my own irc channel instead.
