I was on the same boat as you (I never was able to finish the anime series when it was on TV...I still haven't finished it).

Ah yes, Zatch Bell. I only watched the anime when it was on Cartoon Network, but that's about it. Did you watch it? If so, was the anime close to how the manga read?

Other than Naruto, do you read any other manga?

Oh I agree about the more magic than technology, but even some magic that they have is far more advanced than the technology the world already has. On the topic of non-canon, for example, during a filler arc in Naruto Shippuden there was a girl (protected by Team Yamato) who's family had a secret jutsu that has been passed down for generations because it's power is equivalent to an atom bomb. That's heavy duty magic.

Oh, and remember the OVA short movies I spoke of? There is one called Konoha Sports Festival and in the background you'll be able to see the 4th Hokage. Just thought that was interesting information.

Well if you liked that then you'll like Sakura and Lee in Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom.

Yeah that is sorta why the movies are non-canon. I find it that most of the movies show even more advancement in technology. Sure the Naruto Manga has shown computers, surveillance cameras, monitors, heart monitors, etc... but nothing to those extents. In the first movie we see trains, a developing town (almost looked like a small city) where Naruto asked for her autograph, Kakashi making Yukie sleep with his Sharingan Eye (we've never seen that trick before...is that some sort of genjutsu?), holograms, etc, etc...

What did you think of the first movie? I know it's nothing ground-breaking, but it's fun to watch. OH! One thing that it might be interesting to know, there seems to be an ongoing scenario that happens in each Naruto movie: For some reason, Naruto gets into situations where he creates a special type of Rasengan. For example in the first movie it was that rainbow Rasengan. So you'll find that sort of thing in each movie.

But don't let that 62 minute cut-off thing stop you. Keep watching them (when you're bored). To be very honest, if I were you I'd just watch the movies that I listed as my favorites first, and then watch the others whenever you're bored/have extra time on your hands.

Yeah, just like YouTube only has a limit (for the most part) of 11 minute videos, Anime Crazy separates their movies.

Hmm which movie are you trying to watch? Maybe I can help you out a bit. And as for Awkward Zombie, yeah I lost track of her too, but then I found Katie again on Deviant Art and found the link to her new site from there (and since then I've always visited).

Ah I see. Well I have seen a thread about how tMC actually does share some correlation to the other LoZ maps, so maybe there is a connection.

    Funny Comic Time!

They are all separate movies. You can watch them in whichever order you want.

    lol

What is your linear timeline theory?

    Why yes there is! http://www.animecrazy.net/search/Naruto-movies
They aren't shown in order, so I'll show you:
Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow
Naruto the Movie 2: Legend of the Stone of Gelel
Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom
    Naruto: Shippūden the Movie
    Naruto Shippūden 2: Bonds
Naruto Shippūden 3: Inheritors of the Will of Fire

I personally like Inheritors of the Will of Fire the best, next Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, and third Naruto Shippuden the Movie.

And then there are also three OVA's that sorta act as mini-episodes/movies that are also non-canon to the series (but entertaining to watch).

Naruto Special: Battle at Hidden Falls. I am the Hero!
Naruto Special: Find the Crimson Four-leaf Clover!
    Naruto: Konoha Sports Festival

I don't really believe any of those three go in any specific order (they all have young Naruto and Sasuke is still with Konoha).
