I really don't mean to rain on your parade and all that, I was a huuuge fan of his too, but it was like, proven that he faked some things on his show for high production values here and there. Like, he was "attempting" to scale this rock formation and was advertising how hard it was, saying tips for doing it and struggling over the thing. Apparently, a hiker or somebody recognized the spot, and then recorded a video of him walking casually over the very same rock formation, and then the camera panned left and showed a road with cars driving by.

Eh? oh yeah I've seen and heard of all that. You didn't burst a bubble lol. Him and the crew staying the night at a hotel and everything - I find it hilarious. I admit it is kinda lame they didn't notify people of how they went about things, but it's ... television. People who take shows too seriously are the ones to blame.
I know it's entertainment. When I first saw the show I knew he probably had lots of support. The whole car thing is a bit of a bummer - but hey, it's television.
That does not change the fact I don't love the outdoors and everything like that which is what got me into the show in the first place. All I watch is Discovery. lol..
And also the fact that regardless of how 'fake' he may appear on television, I find it really shallow for people to say he's a fake when he has served in the British Special Forces, is extreamly fluent in survival techniques, karate, broke his back in three places after parachuting, and not to mention the small one that he climbed ****ing mount everest at 23 and witnessed his own crew mates perish in the attempt.
Yeah, he sure is a fake.
