I'd still expect it to last longer than that really.

O'course! Our family is crazy that way.

Yep, desktop's fine! It was just the power supply that had to be replaced; mine was used for two years before it expired.

    Thank you. =)

I can't really tell until I get my essay back but at least I am making some degree of progress on my dissertation research. I should actually start writing it soon.

Christmas Tree up in November? You people are far too crazy. I assume your desktop is operating perfectly now then?

I saw about your grandmother on facebook, I'm sorry for your loss, my condolences.

Got our Christmas tree up, as well as opened our Christmas gifts since our mother will be in the Bahamas during that portion of December. My grandmother also just passed away yesterday morning. Just had a friend leave after spending the night; he fixed my computer as it was indeed the power supply that needed to be replaced.

    How're you doing in uni?

I only live twenty minutes away and had to get a dorm because of the sheer inconvenience of bus journeys basically turning it into an hour's way. And they really don't seem willing to accomodate for any failure even though clearly mistakes happen on jobs like that, especially fast-paced ones, and you've only been working there a couple of weeks, so I don't know what they're expecting.

Things really do not seem to be going well for you right now =/

No problem. I was being particularly *****y too.

To add to the nonsense, KFC laid me off this morning citing low funds and a lack of desire to take time and train me during non-busy hours. They cited my several screwups and my asking my boss to repeat himself 4 or 5 times (I don't know if I told you, but my boss mumbled terribly) as an added reason.

Right now I am on my laptop, onto which I would like to install Ubuntu Linux. That, naturally, has been pushed back a couple of days if not weeks due to this unexpected occurrence; this computer is the only way I can look things up online about my desktop problem when my sister is home, and Linux is already getting an error due to /dev/console on here, so I cannot afford to waste time figuring out that problem while my desktop is out of commission.

I just found out my grandmother is in the hospital, which is already terrible by itself, but it also means that my dad cannot hand me any money to help during this time, and he's also too busy to aid me in my desktop problems (he is our family's original computer lover so the lack of his help is a huge detriment).

I also may need to reside in a dormitory during uni in January, assuming I got accepted (I still haven't received a letter back telling me either which way), due to me wanting to save up money. Living and working in Daytona Beach and going to uni in Orlando is simply too inconvenient (it's an hour-and-a-quarter drive one way). That by itself is not too terrible, but I will be separated a bit from my mother and naturally my sister as well, and my sister will have to find someone else to take over my side of the lease on this apartment.

In any case I hope you've had a great day.
