Haha, well I guess that's ok then if you don't mind it! x3

Well, I guess just GMT, since it's UK time. Like right now it's 11.55pm, and if East Coast is the closest one to us then yeah, there's 5 hours difference. ^^ It's 8 hours with the other coast. (I have friends in various states so I'm used to the time differences, heh. x3

You don't have anyone you can go with? Friends, family, partner, your dog? Anyone? .___. River kayaking would be the most fun, I would think, but a lot of people get kayaking and canoeing mixed up, and associate rivers with canoeing instead. But on a lake it can be so easy and relaxed, it doesn't take anywhere near as much work because there's not usually a strong current. But you should definitely do it with someone who knows what to do and such, and never go anywhere without a lifejacket, but that ones pretty obvious. ^^ Well I would try snowboarding if I could, but we don't get any snow in my area these days. I live right on the coast, and apparantly the salt makes it pretty much impossible for any snow that does fall to stick. I think the last time it snowed properly was a good few years back now. But I'd love to give it a try. I'd probably be completely hopeless but it would still be a lot of fun. xD

Ice cream!! Omnomnom!! Yeah, family is family and if you don't love them, who will? xP

(Haha, Elliot definitely had some great moments, she could be so weird and funny. xD Ted, ha! I loved his band, he could be hilarious! It was sad the way Kelso treated him but it was so funny at the same time, especially when he used to compare Ted to his dog! xP)

Well there are a quite a few different systems of magic, but one of them which is used quite a lot in some of the series is the Wishsong, which is where the user had the power to sing and use the magic through the singing. It was entirely unique to only some of the Ohmsfords, and they got the power after the very second book (The Elfstones of Shannara) because the character used them so much that the power got imprinted into his blood. (The Elfstones could only be used by someone with Elven blood/heritage, and even then not just any Elf could use them - but the character in the Elftstones book didn't have enough Elven blood in him so every time he used the Wishsong it affected him differently.) What's really great about it is the way each person's magic is individual and has different effects and uses and powers, and he describes them all really well. For instance, in the third book, the first to use the Wishsong, two of the main characters (brother and sister Ohmsfords) have it, and one can use it to make physical changes to the surroundings while the other can only create illusions, etc. I don't know, I really can't explain it all that great, but I'd definitely reccommend them. ^^

Haha, well I could tell you again if you like. xP I'm only stating the obvious. ^^

Well that's not rambling, it's interesting and fun to read! There's a difference. ^^"

I've always been a night person. These days I think I'm running off US timezones, or something, because I'm sure not following my own. xP

That sucks! It's stupid in a way that something like that can affect such a big part of our lives. @_@ My eyes are just really short sighted. I need to wear glasses or lenses for anything further than a book, ha. ^^""" I hope I get to fly, I really do. You should totally go kayaking!! I've been lake and sea kayaking, but I really want to try river kayaking. Sea kayaking can be quite challenging. I remember the first time we went out, it got really rough, but when you're out there you just can't stop because we were physically getting pushed a mile or two down the coast, ha. That was a real battle. ^^ But lake kayaking is amazing. It's so calm and serene. I have a few pictures of the last time I went lake kayaking, actually. I'll show you some time if you want. ^^ You should definitely try it though! Erg. Snowboarding is something I'd like to try, but I have pretty much no balance, so I don't think I'd be any good. ^^ I'd try it, though.

D= Don't think about it then!! ^^ Quick, think of marshmallows and...ice cream...? x3 Yeah, I think it's natural for siblings to act that way, but as kids I guess they don't realize that it hurts so much, ha. And yep, older brothers!! D= Lol, I still love him though. He's my brother, so meh. =3

(Ahhh!! I love Scrubs so much!! x3 (Kelso is my all time favourite, followed by the Janitor, then Cox and J.D. But the Todd is so funny at times. They all are!! x3) House can be awesome too. We used to watch that all the time, but I just fell out of that I guess, I haven't seen it aaaages. Yeah! Those kinda reality shows can be good to watch, when you can see that someone is truly passionate about what they're doing.)

Definitely. I have a little bit of weapons training so it's a little easier for me to imagine certain types of fights - mostly knives or sai, etc. But some weapons are bleh to describe. Very much so, I agree. Magic fights can be amazing or totally fail depending on how it's visualized. In the Shannara series, the author came up with a really great of describing and visualising the magic systems, and that's what makes it believable, I think.

Well it definitely shows from what you've shown me of Rubato. Lots of amazing detail. It's easy to tell that you put a lot of thought into your writing.

I can't help but read fast, it's a sign of a good book! ^^ I want to read more but when there's none left...I'm a sad panda... .__. Yep, I did that too! xP I actually used to get in trouble a lot as a kid because I would read so much at night. But I think I had some kind of insomnia when I was young so I kept reading anyway. ^^"

Sort of. The original plan was to join the army (infantry) so I could use it as a step up to getting into the police. (The Police are much more inclined to look at someone who's been in the services.) So I'd always wanted to join the army, but I never thought I'd be able to fly because of my eyesight. Then the course, as well as an ex-RAF guy who was a regular in the bar I worked at, changed my mind. The course gave me new info and insights, and the guy told me that they look more at eye CPU (Colour Perception something) than just eyesight. See, with certain plane and helicopter types you can't wear glasses or contacts, but it depends on what you want to pilot. Fighter and jet planes need near perfect vision. Then as you go down the various types (transport, cargo, surveillance, etc) the requirements diminish. But planes require better eyesight than most helicopters. I'm not sure if I'll be able to fly a fighter 'copter but I'd rather go for something like a troop transport. If I can't fly it because of my eyesight, the plan is to look at laser eye surgery, and if that's not viable then I'll try out for a side-gunner or even something in the Air Force instead. I just want to fly 'copters. ^^ As for the course, it could be tough but it was a hell of a lot of fun. I enjoy hiking, though I don't do it a lot - Wales doesn't have much, but it does have mountains and valleys and beautiful scenery. ^^ We never got to do any rafting, but I have been kayaking, which is fun. =3 Have you done/do you do anything like that?

Exactly! Be calm and take things as they come, it's a much better outlook on life.

Yeah. Needles. Bleh. I...really hate needles. Like, a lot. A LOT lot. Bleeeh. If you're a wuss then I am too for sure. I get really nervous at the dentists because they give me so many injections....ouch. I don't even know if I have any wisdom teeth, ha! xD I know when they took my front tooth out, they had to snap off the tooth part, then go up the gum for the root. It was cracked so they couldn't just pull it out in one go. I remember the blood. A loooot of blood, over a few days. As for my brother, he used to beat me up plenty when we were kids. That, and a fight he started about about a year back, were the only times he tried anything like that since we were a lot younger. He's three years older than me, and was always a lot stronger than me. I was always bookish and a bit of a dork, really, and he did a lot of work with my stepdad (a plumber). But that was another thing my stepdad did, he kinda encouraged my brother to beat on me when we were kids. Hell, at times he made us fight; "toe to toe", he'd call it, and my brother loved it. I think he thought it was all for fun, but I could never fight him. I was too scared. ^^ I always left those with bruises, a bloody nose and split lip, lol. Needless to say I didn't like violence as a kid. ^^"""""

(I haven't watched it on TV in forever, but I used to loooove it. x3 I don't really watch TV anymore, not for quite some time. I never get the chance to watch it since I don't get anything in my room - no aerial for the TV, it's just for games and such. But I used to love programs like Supernatural, which I loved, and comedy shows like Friends, Scrubs, Home Improvement, 8 Simple Rules, etc. Mostly I loved comedies. ^^ What about you?)

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense than just starting a fight for the hell of it. Better to have some kind of plot than senseless fighting, if possible. Yeah, I can't stand magic systems that aren't explained well or don't make sense or something. Chrestomanci!! <3 I need to read those again. Sword fights can be awesome, but I don't know that much about them either. Just what I can imagine, or have watched on TV. I know about hand to hamd combat from when I did karate, but we didn't do much for the sword (not to mention there are sooo many different types of sword fighting, and types of sword, etc.).

Ditto!! I read all the time when I was in primary school. I loved reading, and still do. It's my passion. ^^ I don't remember the first time I tried to write something, though. Probably at around 17 or 18.
