    They do. And so much.
I won;'t have the the thread start off by concentrated negativity.

Fine, then I'll just re-post the thread sometime soon.

You asked ME to bring the thread back after it was trashed, that's why I asked you, after that, to remove those posts. And yes, I forgot that your powers don't extend to there, my apologies.

So, do you authorise that the negative comments (and mine in response) (before you started contributing in a valuable way) be deleted?
If so, then I'll ask for it to be restored after that is done.

It could be a wonderful thing for ZU in bring much of the community together on a simple platform; and I *REALLY* want for it to succeed. Badly.

You alreday started attacking and I was instantly put in a defensive position, fighting to keep a simple fun, productive idea afloat. WHY did you have to take that stance? WHY did you have to start off with being full on 100% negative? This is what I mean about being the one who has to fight. Against people whose first instinct is just to shoot down an idea.

I don;t want to have the thread starting off by a shoot-down. That is why I ask you to kindly remove the "Hay this will fail, people won;t be motivated" comments. It's a damper on everything from the word go.

I don't and cannot throw an idea I have been toying with in my mind and shaping and crafting off to just anyone, and neither would I want to, the SECOnd I propose it, wash my hands of it. I care for it, and want to give it its best chance at success pOSSible. I just want people to be supportive if they like the idea, or just watch on if they're skeprical and think ti'll all end in doom.

Now, yOu help me give it a chance.

    1. Now you're being ridiculous. The thread was in its infancy, and I was losing my patience and calculating, fast, that I had already lost so much ground and already needed to do a crapload more to just break even again. It is comPLETELy my right to ask for a thread of mine to be revmoved after a couple of hours of making it. *I* am the one who'll have to fight, and if I feel that I have no energy for a fight, then I have the right to withdraw my proposal, especially at such an early stage, until I know I can do it better justice.

    3. I am just talking about all the needless snidey "people won;t be motivated" comments. Those are NOT needed. They add nothing., They do not help. They cause much damage. They crush morale.

"Everyone" here constitutes of the four of us who took part in the initial discussion.
and "warming to" doesn't include shooting it down before it gets the chance to fly.
Remove all the negative crushing comments and it might fly again. Currently, it's too heavy.

    WHat?! >___>!

So, the second I voice an idea, it is no longer anything to do with me? are you having a laugh? It is my decision to make if I feel I can kickstart a project *I THOUGHT OF* now or not.

Secondly - I;'m sorry, I wasn;t aware of such projects in Din. I've heard of proPOSED projects, but nothing more besides. My bad.
Though I also know what I'm talking about with large community projects by now.

Thordly- I was NOT talking about the Jason comment. And you know that full well. I'm talking about the "oh no, there'll probably be a team. And you';ll probably want a place fopr them to organise. None of staff will agree to this" comment. NOT the Jason comment.

The method of distribution stuff was where you stopped trying to kill the project and began contributing. Those comments were all gOOd constructive comments. All the ones preceding it, however, were far from.

Being Din mod is not kickstarting and powering a project, Michael.
    It is nowhere near.
It's observing and nudging things along in the right direction - there is a MASSive difference.

I will only authorize that it be returned to Community Central is if you delete the doom and gloom posts. Since they add nothing but dampen spirits and enthusiasm for the idea.

What staff will say and all that other "they won't like it" and "they won't be motivated enough to keep it up" has no place for the planning stage. It doesn't mATter and contributes nothing but negativity.

I can't "hand it over" until people as enthusiastic for the idea as I step forward and, through their contributions, define themselves as the team who'll be responsible for it; and until, together, we've worked through and released at least the first Paper.

Well, American politics is further to the right than European politics - from the British viewpoint, the Democrats are on about the same league of the political spectrum as the Conservatives. From a European point of view, the Republican party almost never offers anything particularly attractive, because from our point, they are pretty much the extreme right.

But no, McCain doesn't have much going for him.
