Just because your game is free of cliches do not make it a good game. That's something I learned from amuter game designers and students at University of Advacing Technology.
A game with a slew of cliches can have an excellent gameplay and well-plan out game design can be fun. You must always worry about making a fun and enjoyable game, rather than just worrying about being original.
Also, seems like a Dead or Alive 5 will be in the works with its "amazing" gameplay and "in-depth" game design. Hold me, Yowell. Hold me . . . games like Dead or Alive shouldn't exist.
