I got your PM (unfortunately, ZU and IE aren't letting me formulate my own PM in response ). And I wanted to say first off, thank you--that really means a lot. Secondly, I'm in!

If I think of anyone else who should take part, I'll be sure to PM their names to you as well (when I have access to Firefox, that is ).

I don't want to derail the Mormonism thread, but I just want to add here that by saying that Messianic Jews are Christian, that in no way minimizes their Jewish identity (or at least I didn't intend such).

Heck, due to Christianity's origins, I still consider our faith as in a sense part of Judaism anyway.

    Mr. Lexxi Aileron
I made a thread in feedback.
To summarize it, people in one of the staff boards were instigating a bunch of name-calling and fun-making regarding my religious beliefs--not even, really, as they took my comments that sometimes people need to burn their hand to learn not to touch the stove the same as me saying I'm for corporal punishment. I think one of them called me on par with a child abuser among other things. This still happens a lot, actually. Luckz in the IRC likes to cite something I said four years ago (when I was young and completely uneducated about homosexuality) about how if homosexual preference was genetic, that should mean that the rise in homosexual practice would mean that the gene would disappear after a few generations. Obviously I was arguing from complete ignorance and a very very basic knowledge of genetics, and obviously my beliefs about homosexuality have evolved considerably over the past four freaking years, but Luckz still cites that quote as if it has any relevance now.

Anyway, LEA rose to my defense, and they proceeded to make fun of her, too, saying "LEA and Lex sitting in a tree, etc. etc." Later, Vega made a post consisting mostly of flaming me, and it won the awards for "Best Post".

Frankly that was the most despicable display I've ever had to experience, and I was so fed up with the fact that no one on staff seemed to give a crap that I decided to leave ZU. Amanda convinced me to come back, and I made a thread complaining that staff should be obligated not to let this go on.

I only garnered minimal support from Andi and Asia and somewhat from GDwarf; staff (some who weren't staff but are now), namely Scott, Nolan, Safer, Eric, and Cody, as well as 90% of everybody else who posted there, said variations on the following:

    1) Quit whining
    2) Staff can say whatever they want
    3) You shouldn't have been able to read that (i.e., making fun of you behind your back is AOK)
    4) Quit whining
    5) Scott: this is not a useful discussion

No, it wasn't a useful discussion. ZU's staff is completely insensitive. The thread only served to underline what I was pointing out.

(Taking it here so we don't derail Asia's thread.)

It's not all staff; but the staff as a collective has made it pretty clear that they don't give a crap when they say things that hurt other members.

I finally got an apology, long after the fact, but the point is that the staff didn't give a flying flip, and no one has made an effort to apologize in this case either.
I actually remember you mentioning that.

Anyway, sorry if I got a bit worked up with my triple question mark--I just saw you saying something about site staff's treatment of Asia, and being on site staff myself, well, I was a bit taken aback.

Regarding the earlier situation: I assume you appealed to higher authorities? And they all just told you to deal with it? Are any of them still on staff now? o_O That's...really not good. Surely you know you have friends on staff, right, like Aeffles and others? At least they apologized later--did it seem pretty sincere or just forced?

And regarding the present situation, I don't think Asia feels wronged by anyone except Jason. Despite the fact that it's been brought out into the open like this, it looks like it's pretty much between the two of them. Maybe I'm just interpreting wrong, though?

Anyway, in the future, if you have staff concerns, you can tell me--maybe I can sway some minds for you.

Hey Lexxi! Well, I don't know about rewarding, but it's been a contented summer for me. I haven't been doing anything except working (and playing Brawl in my spare time ), mainly because I'm saving up my money and vacation days for a major trip I'm planning next summer to Britain! So this summer's dull, but the payoff comes next year!

What's more is that I'm actually going to be in a wedding a couple years from now--2010--out in, you guessed it, California! Much too late for your and Kassi's wedding, I'm afraid, but perhaps I can still hang out with you two anyway when I get out there.
