It was probably removed because it wouldn't work well across other-language versions, what with "Hyrulean" being a cipher of Japanese and all.
TMC's landmarks are difficult to explain regardless of its timeline placement - "Veil Falls," which we never hear of in any other game, is the "source of all the water in Hyrule," so these names are clearly
TMC-exclusives, for whatever reason.
I think
ALttP as an end to the series is more fitting - Ganon finally gets the entire Triforce but Link defeats him and finally cleanses the Dark World (a difficult thing to reconcile with
LoZ/
AoL coming after and the makai still existing in those games, even after Ganon's death). It's easily the most climactic game in the series as Ganon no longer needs to find missing Triforce pieces before he can conquer the world.
In Oracles you have a couple options to obtain the "Master Sword" based on the game you're playing (you can get it in both your first and second game); either it's a sacred sword from a pedestal in Holodrum's Lost Woods (if you play
OoS first), or it's an old broken sword that must be reforged (if you play
OoA first). Either of these works pretty well for giving us a sword that can be given the power to repel evil and used for
ALttP.
