Thanks, I just may give REBORN a chance. And thanks for the list, along with BrokenWing's, lostleader's, yours, and my list, I've been able to concoct a top 7 list that we all share (according to the rank we each gave them and popularity amongst us four):

    1. Fullmetal Alchemist
    2. Trigun
    3. One Piece
    4. Ouran High School Host Club
    5. Samurai Champloo
    6. Death Note
    7. Code Geass

Since Code Geass isn't on your list, maybe you should give it a try (it may be a new #7, #8, or #10).

It depends pretty much entirely on whether or not you like standard Shounen anime or not.

REBORN! kind of has a weird concept to it, but it's ultimately about the main character, Tsuna, getting more powerful and becoming Vongola X. The Vongola is a mafia family, and Tsuna is just an loser (the anime pretty much blatantly says that. lol) in middle school. He has no idea about the mafia, but a baby that can talk (I told you it's a bit weird) named REBORN! comes to his house as a "tutor" to tell him that he is the next leader of the Vongola family.

Beyond that, as I said earlier it's just like your standard Shounen. He runs into enemies that he and his group of friends have to fight.

Overall it's kind of hit or miss. It relies a lot on humor when it's outside of its main arcs, and sometimes that humor is just annoying. And one of the characters really annoys me. But that's just my opinion. The arcs themselves are pretty good, though, if you like Shounen.

It starts out incredibly slow, though. The first 20 episodes rely almost entirely on humor and are very episodic in nature. They're mainly just to introduce characters, but some of them can be a big of a drag. It's also hard to tell apart the filler from canon sometimes, and that's not good.

I actually only have a clear top six, but I'll try to make a top ten.

    1. One Piece
    2. Trigun
    3. Fullmetal Alchemist
    4. Ouran High School Host Club
    5. Monster
    6. Death Note
    7. La Corda D'Oro ~primo passo~
    8. Nodame Cantabile
    9. Samurai Champloo
    10. Eyeshield 21

The list changes a lot... and I really didn't enjoy the bottom four anywhere near as much as I enjoyed the top six, and that's why it's hard to make the list. Although they are all great if you ask me.

I understand. Could you tell me what Katekyo Hitman Reborn is about? Is it any good? Recently I've been having a lot of anime discusions, and I'm curious: What's your top 10 anime? Read my latest VM post with lostleader if you want to know mine.

I used to not care as much. I watched 405 episodes of One Piece illegally. But that was because when I started it the only thing available was the 4Kids dub. So I didn't feel too bad. Plus the 4Kids dub stopped around the mid 100's.

But now with all of the ways to legally stream anime I just can't bring myself to go somewhere else to watch my anime.

Hehe, no that answered my question just perfectly. I'm quite familiar with all of those manga/anime you've mentioned except for Katekyo Hitman Reborn. My adoptee, Cortana, has been egging me on to start watching Bleach, I guess I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I know it's on CN, but I wish it wasn't on so late (I must sound like an old fart saying that). Now when it comes to reading/watching pirated goods on the net, between you & me (and anybody else that's reading this responce on your VM wall) I guess I don't have a heavy conscience like yours. I'll read, and watch, but I won't download and share. I know it does not bring justice to the fact that I only inflict it on myself, but, when it comes to money, I prefer free things. When it comes down to it, I only read Naruto online and watch the episodes on YouTube (which is probably where I'm going to start my Bleach fix).

I'm keeping up with One Piece and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood straight from Japan. I'm watching Bleach on Adult Swim. I occasionally watch some Katekyo Hitman Reborn! on CR. I'm always watching Nana. (If you haven't heard a few of those titles, it's fine. lol)

I actually don't read much manga. I've kind of come to feel a bit guilty about watching/reading things illegally (so every anime I mentioned above I am watching legally.) and since there was a time where my feeling of guilt wasn't so high I read a lot of the mangas I like (like FMA and Ouran High School Host Club) up to their current points.

Since they are not caught up with their Japanese releases here, I don't read much manga. Plus I don't have a job so I have to either ask my parents for it or check it out from the library. Either way is quite a pain. Plus I have a general bias against manga. I like background music, voices, and animation. Manga can be a bit confusing sometimes, especially action manga.

That probably wasn't the answer you were looking for on the manga part... Sorry. lol

Oh I see. Well dispite your friends' complaints did you still enjoy the movies? If you did, I just thought the natural thing was to be curious and get to know a little more about the characters on the screen. Granted it took me awhile but I read all the Harry Potter books this summer before I saw the 6th movie. Ok so you're not a comic book kind of guy, so what manga (and anime) are you currently reading (/watching)? I'm personally reading Naruto Shippuuden right now, and current anime consists of xxxHolic, Fruits Basket, and Cased Close (amoung a few others I could name, but it's a long list).

Well I've been dragged to them by my friends sometimes... I saw the Iron Man movie and newest Xmen movie about Wolverine. But I still don't claim to have any knowledge about them since they are movies and the fans are always complaining about how innaccurate they are.

Oh...really?! I just thought Wolverine was common knowledge. Even if he wasn't I thought the X-men and Iron Man movies/cartoons would gather more attention, even from non-comic book fans like yourself. I guess I was wrong to assume you knew about Marvel. But you can see my connection, right? Since you like Manga (and presumably Anime) I thought you would have had some experince/influence by the American comic book worlds.

Well I've never been a Marvel (or comic book in general, aside from manga) fan. So I don't really know how that would stack up to the originals.

Well when it comes to animation, I think the best thing to do right now is try to find the next original work that could become popular (ala Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender...good show...good show).

Oh and speaking of Marvel and Anime, have you seen the Wolverine and Iron Man anime trailers? They look horrible (at least Iron Man is closer to the original, but Wolverine looks, acts and fights nothing like the comic version)! I'll see the first episode, and give it that much. They'll just have to impress me after that if I'm going to continue watching.

Perhaps the best part of this is that a lot of people believe that CN is really trying to follow Disney.

In doing so they dropped anime... And then look what happened? Disney got an anime. A very popular one that CN just happened to drop. Even better is that it will be on Wednesday nights competing with CN Real.

I'd love to see those people be right and CN gets it's sense back.

Wow, Disney really is trying to target the male audience! Let's face it, the classic disney films revolve around the disney princesses, and that circles around girls. But now that they're airing Spider-man, Iron Man, X-men (and now that they've bought Marvel for a cool $4Billion), and now Shippuuden on Disney, I think they are going towards a possitive direction. But eventhough they bought out Marvel, I don't see Wolverine in any Disney Parade in the future.
