Finally got on a good comp and was able to listen to them. I'll be honest, outside of gaming, I've never really sat down and listened to MIDI songs. I really can't say if they are good or not if that's what you're looking for. However I will say that they do give me a sense of what the title is incorporating. Limit Planet I was imagining soaring throughout a new planet and seeing the different wonders it had to bestow (natural and alien-made like wars and cities). R_journey reminds me of something I'd hear on an RPG game that took place on a spaceship. Battle1 isn't as heart-pounding as what I was expecting to to be. If this song is supposed to take place in a video game during a fight sequence, it's not doing it's job. The closest thing I'm imagining is a someone (like a messenger) running through the streets carrying news of an important message (that could do with war). Athedian_Chronicle credits, is ok, just ok.

Download? I'll just stream it somewhere online. I don't want to take up space on my comp. But after reading the wikipedia entry of it, it does sound like Ender's Game (the only difference is instead of aliens, it was a nova, and the main protagonist is a girl). There has been talk (for a long time in Hollywood) to create Ender's Game into a movie, and it's finally going to come out next year (November 1st).

Have you ever read Ender's Game? If not, read it. Giving a little backstory (without giving away any spoilers of the book), Earth as been invaded by this alien race we call the "Buggers" because they look like insects (I imagine them to have a cross between an ant and a cockroach-like body...but large). The first time they invaded they touched ground and started to genetically alter some of our crops into things that were edible to them. We killed them. Since then all countries has stopped their disputes, and started training/preparing for the next inevitable attack. Then an even larger fleet of Buggers came, and from my understanding, we were so prepared that they never touched ground. After the second "Bugger War" the U.S. (that was independent of all military on Earth) started to train young intelligent children in a large space station from all over the world in order to find the next Admiral to command the fleet for the next invasion.

As Stephen Hawking once said, if there is intelligent life out there in the universe, you wouldn't want them to find us. More likely than not, they will attack us, very much like how the first English settlers attacked the Native Americans. I guess that's what we call universal karma.

I mean even if you look at biology, that's what happens. You either adapt, or kill to survive. To paraphrase the Matrix, the human race is like a virus. And if there's a far smarter intelligent being in the universe, and they came to our planet, there must be a reason.

The ONLY thing that would be good that comes out of an alien attack is that we will set our priorities and forget about our own wars and focus on the new universal enemy. No longer will we be racist against each other, because we will all have a common enemy to fight for our lives. You never know which human being might save your life the next day.
