We got off so lucky. The off-campus apartment complex I live at had the will of an ox to keep power. A few times power shut off, but came on a few seconds later. We still have it now, and the worst of the storm is over, so we're going to be fine.
Even back at my parents' house, they have power, while it seems everyone around them is going to be living Amish. Hurricanes must like us.

Well I know NC and VA are great on gas. And so is NJ. That doesn't mean it's cheap, though. It's cheapER.
