I don't know if a spider will give Jack enough time to hightail it into the pyramid's innards. I mean even if it succeeded against an average human Jack would buy 10 seconds at the most. Worst case scenario the spider lights Dask's face up with hairs but the main effect doesn't come in until hours later.
