Haha wow. The only time I got searched was when I was sooo nervous because the cops pulled me over (it was cuz I swerved on the shoulder lane without knowing it) and I told the officer "No sir, I wasn't drinking!" They got me and my buddies out of the car and searched us and the car, found nothing cuz they thought I was high. They were nice though and the guy laughed when I told him. This was a STL County (different than the city, loong story behind that) cop, but the STL City cop who pulled me over was a complete dick. Luckily, he didn't give me a ticket.

I really never thought about having 2 types of officers. Then again, rent-a-cops are no better, but those are the private police force anyway. I mean, having one set of police that actually protect and take care of the misdemeanor crimes is better than having somebody who was trained to subdue anybody no matter what.

I was born and raised Catholic. I know what's in the Bible.
I simply agree with the fact that the Bible has been so misinterperated by Christians that certain points tend to contradict themselves. For example, the whole idea that God was portrayed as a ruthless being at first, and then all of a sudden, he is an all-forgiving being. I understand there's the whole, "different covenant" thing, but that doesn't fully explain that for some reason he "forgives and loves" you, but at the same time, can damn you to hell.
Look, I believe in God. I just don't completely agree with all the teachings. That's not to say the teachings are wrong. Rather, there's just too many contradictions for my taste.

God was portrayed (In the earlier, less-editted versions of the bible) as an unforgiven, ruthless, violent figure that harshly punished those who strayed from his path. Thunderbolts to strike the wicked? Flood to get rid of the non-believers? Getting people to kill other people? Hmm

Back on topic

Infact, in the modern bible, God is an all-forgiving figure. It's quite right to believe that there is no hell, as "EVERYONE" can be salvaged from damnation. Humm.
