Yeah, now it makes me wonder how much worse the Norse Mythology books are going to be. And what's stopping him from doing Aztec Gods? I'll be honest, I'll buy all of his books (I'm already hooked:/), so I'm wondering if he's going to combine all of the major characters into one big book, that's what I think he's going to do with the Greek & Egyptian gods for now (he's made a few references in both of them).

I'm still reading Mark of Athena (I'm taking my time only reading a few chapters every day in order to make it last). I believe Riordan is going to release one book every year until The Olympian series is over).

Have you read The Kane Chronicles? Personally I don't think it's that great (of course that is a biased comment considering I know more about Greek mythology than Egyptian). I've heard that Riordan is going to make a Norse Mythology series as well. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in the future Greek/Egyptian/Norse will cross paths in the future (Jackson & Kane have already made a few cameo references to each other noting that they both take place in the same world).

...though it might sound egotistical, Pinkie Pie just finished proofreading Drow in its entirety, and she thinks the dream thing will work. Part of it is the length of the novel itself, and part is that she unintentionally dropped hints earlier in the story that the Drow could extract knowledge through thoughts.

Pinkie Pie's only worry is that the time it appears in the book. Following the characters' emergence from the dream-spell, it takes 10,000 words to stop the main villain and resolve most stuff. In Drow, a novel of 55,000 words, that's quite a bit, but she wonders if it won't seem like enough to those who read it.

Pinkie Pie attempted to implement is less as a reveal that everything was a waste of time, and more as a reveal that the scenario itself was real, but skewed off on a tangent from a certain point into the dream-spell, meaning that all the characters are still alive and well.
