Well, you've certainly found the right person to ask about the EH, since I'm a Councillor there. x3

The EH is strictly about roleplaying, but it's not really roleplaying in the traditional sense. To be honest I don't even think of it as roleplaying; I never really have. I see it as more...collaborative writing. The only link to roleplaying is that as a writer, you have to be able to identify with your character, at least if you want it to be natural and consistent. That's what I find, anyway. So, to answer your question, yes and no. It depends on your personal interpretation, really. There's no dice or cost or points - it's fiction, at the end of the day, only you're writing it alongside other writers. :3


As for the clans, well, they're just somewhere you can socialise and make friends. It gives you a common ground, I suppose. I know that I'm closer with some of the people in Farore than I am in most other areas of the site. It's like, you're accepted into a group, so you can identify and befriend them because you're sort of on the same team as them, if you will.

You don't have to join one by any means, but it can be a fun way of making friends. I know that Farore has certainly made me welcome and I've got a lot of friends there now. :]
