    Hah! Yes. But that would require some arcane magics that Conaria was unaccustomed to. Manning the ships with knights would have been a little easier.

    And man, I wish I did the lizards again this time around. They were cool.

    I thought of it more as a kinda deal where after four days, the enemy castle starves and is forced to surrender. Unrealistic, I know, but I think it makes for good balance. It also solves the issue of what happens when a player quits-- just siege their castles!

    also, I do believe the water-walking lizards could have been countered. All you needed was stronger infantry If your boats had some plate knights with pole axes on them they could have potentially pulled through.

    Trade IS something I hadn't considered, and it can definitely be implemented. I'll try to work on a system that improves on that. As it stands though, +10 to each kingdom seems like gold coming from nowhere. I'm not sure how to implement that give and take. Then again, it would serve well to reward players for cooperating. I'll see how it works once I get around to that test run.

    And blockades would definitely be viable--it would be just like another version of the already-implemented siege tactic, which is blocking off an enemy city with your land army to prevent it from generating income. If you hold the siege long enough, you get to take the city, but public order will be low for a few turns.

    Yes, gold pays for everything. Troops, projects, research et al. "Project days" will no longer be a factor. If you have the money to fund a project, you can make it so. The act of saving up money, or not recruiting in order to have the funds to do one, will take place of "project days". As long as you have at least one stronghold that is not under siege, you can make projects.

    "Projects" being a blanket term for recruiting troops, building walls, researching new tech, building war machines, etc.

    As far as the propaganda thing, I don't think that would work in the game. It would be hard to price, and I'm usually not a fan of projects that can just be immediately countered by another project.

    That's a cool idea for the German game, haha.

    And as far as KoC goes, yeah, I'll be the willing referee. It only fits, since I know the rules best.

    I also want to make a "public order" system for the actual people living in your cities. If they're treated unfairly, they have a chance to riot, thus robbing you of your production from that stronghold until you send in troops to retake the city and oppress the populace back into order.

    What do you think? I basically thought this system up so that people could do what Argenteus tried to do in that battle. You would be able to use your subjects as troops, but not without consequence.

    I've been reading your conversation with Sol, and I think you'd be interested in my battle system I'm thinking of for my spinoff, Kingdoms of Conquest.

    First of all, there will be a referee who is not a player in the game. When a player wants to battle, they send him a PM. Then, the GM works out how many in-game days it would take for them to get there. When the army gets there, the mod posts it in the thread.

    Once that happens, the defender responds what he does when he sees the army coming, and posts a defense for that phase. Then, the attacker posts what he does next, and so on.

    Once they start attacking, I'd immediately have troops come in from The Junkyard. With your ships focused on hitting my guys hiding throughout the mountains, it will be rather devastating.


    This is the most fun I've had with a battle before, though, so win or lose I'm happy I did this

    After my attack on Conaria, I was going to have reinforcements delivered to the mountain region my Demon Scouts landed in.

    Would you want to post some kind of defense to this? They aren't attacking your units at all, and would come in straight after the battle (in the downtime between my attack and your counterattack).

    It's up to you. If you wish to try and prevent them from coming through, then go ahead and say so and I will post my "Reinforcement" phase of the 5-day battle.
