Hey, it's been quite a challenge, but I've been leveling up at Death Mountain, so hopefully it'll be a little easier.
I would play more, but college started up again so it's been cutting into my Zelda Time. = (
I'll be lucky if I finish them all with the year
Ah well, I won't give up!

Hey Val! Sorry about the late reply.

Yeah, 50 times in a half hour is pretty much par for the course for Zelda II if you haven't practiced it lately. The key to surviving that game is leveling yourself up early, but it takes a lot of patience to do that, so the game can easily get tossed to the wayside. I was tempted to do so myself when I played through it most recently back in April.

My overall Zelda marathon took me about four months all things considered, starting with Zelda 1 in April and finishing ST in August. That was actually a good deal quicker than I was anticipating (I had thought it would take me well into the fall to finish).

So, any progress for you? Anything else interesting in life going on?

    Haha, it's an interesting experience.
    I've died about 50 times in the first 30 minutes = P
    And congrats!
    How long did it take?

Hey Val! So how goes your marathon? *looks at sig* Your thoughts on Zelda II mirror my own.

Anyway, I'm happy because today I finished!

    Heya Val!

Yep, I'm actually coming off my "hiatus" soon to take on those last two DS Zeldas.

That was a lot of the main reason I did my marathon. It started out with me wanting to give MM another chance. Then I wanted to attempt a no-game over run of Zelda II. Then Zelda 1. Then I said, aw hell, I'll just play them all one after the other since I've never run them like that before. xD

Now as for the Four Swords games, the original FS (that comes with LttP on GBA) is multiplayer only, which is quite frustrating--thankfully I was able to find someone to play it with. But FSA--on GameCube--does have a single-player option, so you should be able to play that one.

You'll have to let me know how these games go.

Hey, that's great, good luck with your quest = D
I'm mainly doing it to catch up on the games I haven't played before, as well as to enjoy the games I haven't played in a while, and maybe be able to participate in these theory threads eventually. :p
Well, the reason I left out FS and FSA is because they require multi-player, don't they?
If there's a way to play them single player I'd include those too. Otherwise, I just don't know enough people who enjoy Zelda enough to play them with me :c

I couldn't help but notice your sig earlier today. As it turns out, I'm doing precisely the same thing myself! I've been at it since April, but I'm on a brief hiatus right now (lots of stuff going on IRL).

I know a few people are running through the whole series as well. It'll be interesting to see how your experiences compare with ours.

I do wonder, though, why are you leaving out the Four Swords games (FS and FSA)?
