well its a strong scene on what we call the Uber goths. basicly a scene oif people that listen to industrial techno metal and or depressing 80's inspired keyboard goth songs. theres alot of androginy that goes on, some candy goths with the colourful fake dreds and the corsets, guys with corsets.. its huge with gays and lesbians clubs such as die maschine and shallow nation are where this scene frequents.. its a real click and wouldnt know real gothic culture if it was in front of them..

There is an Androgyny scene?

I'm pretty damn androgynous lol. I'm certainly not a scene kid, I dress like an indie hipster, but I've never heard of there being an androgyne scene.

Well yeah hardcore is plagued with gangs. The kids who listen to the music are all in gangs pretty much.

But really I find more stagnation in the traditional metal scenes. There just isn't any innovation musically, everyone is more than happy to play the same Pantera or Slayer stuff which is ages old and everything which there is to be said in there has been said.

I don't know about the Sydney hardcore scene. But we have a really strong math oriented Deathcore scene, and there over the years have been some crazy ass bands who sound like nothing I've ever known. Bands like Jack the Stripper, and Hiroshima Will Burn have been around the place with some pretty crazy ideas.

The scene fanwise is pretty similar though. Lots of gangs and stuff, but I'm down. I don't know any of them personally because I'm from a pretty safe area, but they're alright if you know how to navigate.

I guess I wouldn't know any better. The scene down here seems pretty alright.

Lol what's wrong with scene kids! Lol they pretty much form the basis of our fanbase.

I'll keep that in mind. We usually play at the Destroy All Lines venues when we tour. So stuff like Bang, Next, Thriller, Snitch.

Not sure what the Sydney joints are called though. Hot Damn and Diamonds Nights?
