Demise's curse is the same one most of the other Link's went through. His death, in my opinion, is explained by Aonuma when he said: "Hyrule's history changes depending on time and those telling the story." That's just how the developers wanted to set up that version of Hyrule's history, so that's just how it is. I don't think we could possibly get a more in-depth explanation as to why this Link is the only one to fail.

That's why I still believe in a legends timeline: the DT and the AT/CT simply being alternate stories allows everything to be equally true and equally canon.

No, nothing in that timeline is non-canon....

My current Progressive Legends Theory was pretty close too, minus the placements of OoX and FSA.

The only thing I don't like about this timeline is the issues surrounding FSA. I'm not changing my timeline and instead remaining skeptical until official confirmation. The explanation for OoT - ALttP is amazing, though, so I will definitely be drawing inspiration.

Um... nothing really. It would just exist as a parallel dimension to Hyrule. In most woks of fiction, parallel dimensions aren't caused, they just... exist.

What's great about this theory is that you can predict the next three games:

1. The sequel to SS: this game will mirror the story of TMC.
2. The sequel to TP: this game will mirror the story of OoX and/or LA (unless LA is simply mirrored by PH in a way and/or OoX is mirrored by ST in a way).
3. The sequel to the sequel of TP: this game will reflect the plot of LoZ/AoL (since we already have LoZ involving the collection of the pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom and its reflection, TWW, involving the collection of the pieces of the Triforce of Courage, this game will likely involve the collection of the pieces of the Triforce of Power after Ganondorf had lost it at the end of TP).

It makes a lot if sense if you look at all the parallels in their stories:

It doesn't, but OoT - ALttP works a lot better than FSA - ALttP anyway, so....

My theory agrees with all of those. Most other timelines require ignoring at least one of those confirmations.

It doesn't, but that's my point. I basically said that some people brush off my theory as if it was on the same level as TP - OoX.
