Depends on the field.

The highest paying jobs are petroleum and mineral exploration, which requires lots of traveling to remote locations, but starts at 90k+ USD. Long hours, away from home, etc. Basically, a bad idea if you're trying to raise a family.

You can also work in a lab, analyzing core samples to determine if the explorers have found a place to mine or drill. This is slightly lower pay, but usually requires minimum travel time.

There's about a million other jobs, too. Academia, government positions, environmental consultant, etc. Besides the high pay and benefits, the best part is the opportunity to travel around the world. Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, England, Canada, the US, etc.

My current plan is to work as a mineral explorer, and then if/when I decide to settle down I can transition into a lab or office based job. Things can always change though. I may settle down earlier/later than anticipated, and I'll have to adjust my plans accordingly.

Haha, when you're working in the arctic circle drilling for core samples in freezing temperatures, or living in the wilderness searching for minerals, you'd better get paid . Conditions can be rough!

Yeah, I'm probably going to be spending my summers in internships as well. Geology interns actually get paid surprisingly well (41k+ salary), and get to travel around a lot, so I'm looking forward to it.

Wow, you're really busy! It's good to get a ton of work experience though, especially in a field like journalism.

You deserve it! Roxy's original profile was pretty great, but her development through RPs has made her an extraordinary character. Although, I personally would have gone with Natasha.

Is being an intern at a newspaper something you enjoy? What do you do at a newspaper?

Wow. Yeah, that makes total sense. Even Rak's not that privacy-concerned. He doesn't like people messing with his business either, but he's not offended when you ask about his day. He just tells you how rotten it was and how stupid his co-workers are. It's about the same every day, so we stopped asking him. It makes him grouchy to talk about it.

That's alot of work. Are you in college or something?
