Well I've posted for our RP , Unraveling Chain ... I like the name (: I liked the first one too, but unraveling chains just seemed to fit really well.

The reason it seemed weird to me was I can't really think of a role where she was cursing up a storm.

*Scratches head*. I guess it's a matter of where on the nudity reaction spectrum you're looking. Maybe Japan and Scandinavian nations are less uncomfortable with nudity. But there are plenty of nations that take a much firmer stance against nudity than the US. If I were to place the US on a scale, right being a high tolerance to nudity, while left being a low tolerance, I would still say the US is more toward the right than left. But then when considering what you have said, I would just say that there are those nations that would place further to the right than the US.
Blah blah blah ... my opinions aren't exactly informed though, so there's my 2 cents.

And the stuff you mentioned about the animes is a little bit of a head scratcher.

I really love this piece from Blast of Tempest. Only one piece of like...quite a few which are almost all good. But also knowing the context of it helps you appreciate it too.

It's sad that all I listen to are basically OSTs from films, TV shows (LOST in particular with that), Anime, or Video Games. I like music like that that tells a story, if that makes sense? And some may think it's blasphemy but I like a lot of it better than traditional composers and classical music (I studied music for a longg time).

That's awesome about Digimon! I was so glad when Xenoblade came here (one of my favorite games); I meant to get one of the bleach fighting games for the DS but never got around to it. There are so many obscure Japanese titles that are so awesome that we don't get. GRRRR! lol.

I guess. It's sort of a case of desensitisation I think. The more and more we expose ourselves to these things, the more and more we begin to feel it has no substantial meaning and then just shrug it off.

I don't know, I think that Western media has the same freedom as Japanese media, in my opinion. But yeah the fact that it is different and they draw inspiration from different sources and their own culture does make it that more interesting.

Yeah, they're really annoying, especially when you get ganked with a whole bunch at once. Paralysis, Poison, and Confusion, oh what fun! And yeah, that's always pretty annoying; that fire tiger early on in the game was pretty hard my first time round. And when you get Vesperia there's an early boss (you'll know which one) that is infamous as a "noob killer" for how much of a ♥♥♥♥♥ it is. I first played the game with my cousin, and when we got to that boss we really weren't prepared.

Yeah, completely agree. Games that take the piss out of themselves are typically some of the best comedies; it's one of the reasons I love Paper Mario so much; it almost never takes itself seriously. I always say, writing good drama is one thing, but writing good comedy is really a challenge (and a thankless job a lot of the time). When games take themselves too seriously they end up being funny for all the wrong reasons. Just look at ♥♥♥♥ like Final Fantasy XIII.

Generally I can forgive a silly story if the game is at least fun, but there are limits. For a game like DoTNW, it'd have to be pretty much a video game version of the Mona Lisa to get me to sit through it. Though it could be fun to riff on with some mates I guess

Yeah some of the stuff people produce on ZU is really impressive. Before ZU I hadn't really been exposed to so many people with the degree of creative talent that they have.
I guess it's just a matter of approaching and asking, although sometimes hesitation gets a hold of me, and when that happens, I say stupid things
Shrub seems like a writers encyclopedia, she seems to know a fair deal. Just by looking at some of the stickied threads of hers, my newbie self was like ... woah this Shrub must be like a super writer person. : O

Anime's do seem like a good source. Thinking back to all of the anime's, well not that many, that I've watched they all seem really good. Although when I think of the likes of Beyblades and Yugioh ... they were a little strange. Possessed spinning tops and cards.

I completely agree with respect to fiction and the need to develop a believable environment and story, it's just something I never really thought much of pre-ZU. In saying that I'm pretty much writing more than ever these days with RPs and such. So now the understanding of trying to produce a logical story makes sense. (:

I love morbid and tragic. It's just so well told and like, for an anime that has a mix of a lot of drama with action, it's not too long at 24 episodes. So it's really manageable. Compared to some series' which can become really drawn out.

Re: the score, they actually use some actual classical pieces in some key places which makes it feel all the more epic. I think there's a movement from Beethoven specifically named "The Tempest" that they use. The full OST isn't out yet I don't think, or I can't find it. But the music is really epic, yet tragic. The characters are fantastic.

I know that, oddly enough, the Steins;Gate game was for the XBOX in Japan, then went to PC and PS3, along with Vita. Which is CRAZY, it was an Xbox exclusive for a while. I really hope we get it. I know there are fan translations but I can't find a ripped fan translation to play through myself. lol. It was like a surprise hit for the 360 apparently. In Japan. Just...bizarre.

The anime is licensed and coming here, so I don't think it would be that much extra work to localize it if it's popular. And they're coming out with a sequel to the game in Japan in the spring I think? I forget when exactly (it has nothing to do with the movie).

Or it could just be more fueling to his will, and purpose. For example, his purpose is to kind of lift Skaara from the vengeful state she's in. The more saddened/angered she is, the stronger his purpose becomes, and the stronger his will and desire to help her become. When she is happy, he's at ease and he doesn't need to do as much. When she is sad, he wants to do more to fix the problem and to fulfill his purpose. ... ? How does that sound?

Watched Life of Pi today ... that was ... a little boring, sad moments though. And Tigers are just breathtaking.

Yeah dreams are incredible interesting when you think about them, it's kind of why I slotted a little bit of it into Skaara. Dreams can mean so much to people. I personally am not one to subscribe to the idea of a dream catcher though. They're nicely ornamental though.

Before I came here, to ZU, I was really of the 'fiction is fiction, it doesn't have to make sense' mindset. So that is probably part of my problem with working out these things... Old habits die hard.

It was a poem a studying in High School, so we have to remember quotes and stuff for our essays. One quote from his poem has stuck since then. Also I'm not a big poetry reader, I like to write it on occasion though (:

Well yeah, his inner hollow and Zangetsu have always been two faces of the same person. The hollow made it a point to remind Ichigo that he IS Zangetsu several times.

Yeah, the warping was annoying, though I think the thing that gave me the most trouble was that one attack he had that'd give everyone status effects. Bosses that spam status effects are the worst. Yeah, double bosses could be pretty annoying, during the Yuan and Botta battle we'd always end up with Yuan jumping over and slaughtering our spellcasters while we were focusing on Botta, and if we focused on Yuan Botta would gank us with spells. Although once when I played with my cousin Presea was actually able to keep Yuan's attention, stay alive, and take off a decent amount of his health on her own while we took down Botta, which was pretty cool.

Yeah, Tenebrae was pretty much a huge troll which is probably why I liked him. And Ratatosk could have been a lot better, but instead he cared about Marta for whatever reason. I think it could have been actually pretty funny if the game didn't take itself seriously, more like it was taking the piss out of badly written cheesy JRPG romances.

Ah really? Then yeah, definitely play it! It really is an excellent game.

Yeah, I really hate it when companies don't treat their franchises as renewable resources. It's sort of like crop rotation, if you're lazy and keep sowing the same field they'll be no nutrients left. That analogy made better sense in my head.

I created a profile for him, as well as one for the city, though I'd recommend reading Amareon's History before the Stranger's.

I'm going to make an NPC profile when I get home, it should make the character significantly easier to understand.
