OK, so for the Stranger, River has the ability to literally see auras. He cannot feel them unless a normal person can feel them. So, if you had to describe his aura visually, how would you describe it?

The second thing River can literally see is aura. Due to the fact River is an animist, he believes nature has a soul. This causes him to see the souls of his environment around him, as well as some man made objects depending on their nature. Usually though, they are not as bright nor vibrant as those who has a human-like comprehensions of things. Sometimes a person's aura is mixed in with their magic (if they are so inclined), but due to the nature of his eye, he is able to tell the aura part of this apart. An aura is defined as something which encompass a person's personality, soul and who they truly are. A person's aura cannot lie, and is always their "true" selves. This means even if a person puts on a mask, pretends to be somebody else, has lost their way, or merely has forgotten, River will be able to "see" who they truly are. At times though this has lead to confusion on his part due to dual nature of certain people. This dual nature can come from another being residing within a person's body, multiple personalities or other circumstances which has caused their aura to come into conflict. Even though he can see a person's "true" self, he doesn't necessarily understand what he is seeing. For example while he can see an angel's "wings" (if they are hidden), but he will not know what he is looking at due to the fact he doesn't know what an angel is. He can also see when there is more than one aura existing in a person, whether this is a separate personality or a separate soul. More powerful and intense auras have the tendency to give him splitting headaches and migraines.
