Though I seem to have mostly replaced the problem with over-browsing the Net, at least this is more sociable (and educational - I read The Art of War online this week).

Tell me about it. I've weaned myself off of most of the "you have to play it EVERY DAY" addictive games I used to play, thankfully. Now I just play the occasional new release (most recently Batman: Arkham Asylum, which is brilliant) for a week or two, and then shelve it while I get on with the more important business of living.

Sounds like an advanced version of a Game & Watch game. I've played stuff similar to that; Harvest Moon was particularly fun.
