Haha, I hear you. All of our equipment was made by the lowest bidder in like ♥♥♥♥ing 1987, so it's always breaking and needing to be repaired xD. Of course, when I was in the desert (since parts were hard to get a hold of), maintenance often consisted of beating starters with flashlights and such until they would engage xD.

Ugh, I don't know any Army bases lol. Except for Forward Operating Base Shank, where I went in Afghanistan.

Hah, I've only really watched Youtube at work during a couple base exercises or when I was on the night shift.

The main ones people tend to go to seem to be Osan and Kunsan.

Ah yeah, I work on the support equipment on the flightline. Bomblifts, generators, bigass airconditioning units, wing jacks, etc. Mostly diesel engines/hydraulic work.

...most of them fell out of the sky. The wings broke in air, but we landed safely every time we went up. The only reason we didn't win was because our wings were too short for extra points.

We got fourth. Blech.

The fuselage was made in a factory. We use the same fuselage as the other competitors for fairness.

Ahh, it would seem that Texas to me is Georgia to you! Seems like I always managed to get sucked back there for a bit xD.

I've only worked a tiny bit around/with some Army guys and some Marines when I was deployed. A little Navy as well, come to think of it.

I'm currently applying to transfer from active duty to the Air National Guard. I should know by June if I got approved or not, but I'm not worried. They're doing all that force management stuff, and cutting people as it is.

We made a rc plane wing.

Stateside:

San Antonio, TX for basic training (2 months)
Wichita Falls, TX for technical training (6 months
Rapid City, SD as my first duty station (since 2011, still here)
Abilene, TX with our B-1s when our runway was getting redone before going back to South Dakota (1.5 months)

Overseas:

Qatar and Afghanistan, though Afghanistan was only for a couple weeks to help recover something. Was in Qatar for 6 months.
