If you don't pass the medical exam, sometimes you can submit a waiver request. The best person to ask about those sorts of things is a recruiter, though. It all depends on what the condition is.

I hope you don't mind me asking this, I don't even know if you would know this. What is the rule on disabilities in the navy? Can you work with them to get in, or do they automaticlly say no?

If you can jog 1.5 miles and a decent pace, then you probably don't need to worry about the physical readiness test. The female standards aren't that bad, really; I was able to pass (most of the time).

    Can you run?

    I'm not athletic either.

I'm a bit out of shape, and I'm not atheletic in any way. The one thing I worry about the most is messing up the training and being kicked out, if they do that.

Whether or not the Navy is for you depends on the lifestyle that you want to have.

I don't know anything about you, so it'd be bad if I gave you any real advice. I was an officer for 5 years; but I never had to do any long trips on a ship. That life is hard.

what's being in the navy like? I'm not doing as well as I should be in college, so I was thinking about joining to learn some responsibility and what not. (the experience would be good too)

You're thinking about joining the Navy?
I was in the Navy (but I get seasick, so it was probably a bad choice).
