- No, I haven't really considered it for the reason you cited. Psychoanalysis is sort of poo-pooed here for some reason. So I've always been under the impression that it isn't particularly effective. The standard position here is that a combination of medication and cognitive behavioral therapy is best.
I think it's very important to watch the way you talk to yourself. I slip into negative and limiting self-talk VERY easily. It takes vigilance and a sustained, consistent effort to improve at anything, but part of my problem is that I am chronically mentally fatigued. I'm in great physical shape, but mentally I'm very lethargic and so it feels almost impossible to do what I know I need to do to get better. And then, every time I do make a stride here or there, it just gets wiped out by a perceived bad event.
I really don't feel like therapy at this time, partially because of the effort entailed, but also because it focuses my attention on the problem. I'm trying a new strategy where I simply try to distract my mind and think about other, more productive things. I'm trying to read more and get my mind off my mind. So far, I think I feel a little better. - Good song, not my favorite version but good song.
- I am interested in where "Going nowhere, going nowhere" is from
- well then my guesses is that one person's perspective on child raising couldn't possibly mean much for the entire nation?

It's a great cover of the song. I doubt anyone knows that the original existed and it was a more upbeat song.
Glad you were reminded of it!
Have fun listening! - I just accepted it and started coloring my hair red!
You can always try to color yours if you miss it! - Hey Gustavo, I'm a chick and this may be weird
But when I hit my ~becoming a lady years~ my hair went from bright blonde and pin straight to wavy and a darker brown (almost reddish) color.
:] So it's not just you, I think it's normal! - 01-15-2011 12:44 AM - permalinkDislutfateDo you eat lots of Lucky Charms? Because you look magically delicious.

- Thank you so much. Wow, those are some old posts, though I remember those times like yesterday. They were dark. I'm still not even close to satisfied with my life, but at least it has improved since then!
I would blog if I felt like I had a continuous stream of interesting things to say, but I don't. For me, a blog should have a purpose to those who read it, not just those who write. It can't (for me) just be a collection of personal stories. Since I'm just a random guy who has yet to achieve any formal qualifications or credentials, I don't feel like I have the authority to blog in any meaningful way.
Still, I appreciate your kind words. - 09-24-2010 11:01 AM - permalinkFei Fong WongMy friend watched it after one of his favorite Youtube comedians posted a video mentioning the movie. He said that he gave it "just a moonful of doots."
His name is Olan Rogers. He's part of BalloonShop on Youtube. - 09-24-2010 08:17 AM - permalinkFei Fong WongA Moonful of doots?
I'm guessing the movie in your sig is Moon? - I was in Santa Catarina, primarily Florianópolis.
Movies, internet, etc. were against missionary rules, since teaching about Christ was a full-time work, and we needed to be focused.
An example I gave someone was that it'd be weird to watch Saw or something, and then try to talk about Christ. Just doesn't work
.
Where are you from? - 01-26-2010 11:29 PM - permalinkGooeyKablooieExactly-- lucid or not, dreams are really fun and entertaining.
I don't really have a consistent sleep schedule anymore, which is probably part of the problem.
But yes, good luck to the both of us - 01-26-2010 10:18 PM - permalinkGooeyKablooieNah, I haven't. I've been meaning to start getting back into the subject since I haven't been paying particular attention to it recently.
How about you? - I mostly went to Gamestop/EB Games. Also, PAL games come in all European languages.
So the game should pick up the language settings on your DS and Wii. Hope that helped.
