Yeah this wine isn't particularly tasteful... but seven bucks for 1.5L liters? Gets the job done :p

Thanks. It seriously means a lot. I try to distance myself from the type of people who do hurtful things in the name of the god I believe in, but it's kinda sucky to have to emphasize that. Like, it'll come up in conversation while I'm out (once, at a gay bar), and I have to say things like, "I'm Catholic, but I disagree with many of their more-public opinions." Stuff along those lines. >__<

Basically, I kinda wish religions could stop coming with all that baggage. I imagine you've been in similar situations by virtue of being a part of a non-judeo-christian religion itself.

/rantrantrant, thank you for your support.

We can all point the finger at a religious faction until we are all blue in the face. What it doesnt do, is make us better people in the long run. It actually makes us look like just as big of dicks as they are, cuz of being ❤❤❤❤ty and pointing fingers. Instead of, oh i dont know, ~leading by example~ and just not acknowledging the bad.

If you wanna wallow, go right ahead, but im gonna be That Guy who goes "Hey, stop bringing me down, ja?" And the sweet Christians who actually freaking mean well, im gonna stick up for them.
    Thank you. ;___;

I should think that it messes the circadian rhythm up a great deal. Vitamin D is nice as well. But yes, it is strange in summer as well. When we were there, the sun was gone for about an hour, I think. There isn't all that much sunlight in winter in Norway in general, but at least we have some hours down here xD

We shall see how things go^^

(A guy ending up joining vikings in England so far. A lot of fighting :p)

Haha, cool! I keep wondering if I should get on Tumblr - I do actually have an account, but I don't do anything with it. I'd probably just end up posting pictures of lions, space and Loki.

I'm going to bed now, so I'm going to wish you a fantastic weekend (:

(By the way, at the airport I bought a book called Raven Blood Eye by Giles Kristian. It's a bit fun.)

Mhm <3 On either side of one of the doors, they'd made something that looked like the Urnes design. It was utterly beautiful. It was barely visible on one of the dark indoor shots.
Absolutely (: (In any case, Norse things that remind me of Lord of the Rings are completely fine by me!)

(xD I think you'd be happier further south, though! I think it's preferable with at least some sunlight during the dark half of the year :p)

    :3 *happy*

Will do! Ah, yes. We're kind of debating what we're going to do about the tent cloth, ourselves. They're selling a finished product at, but we're thinking of trying to make our own. We'll see. Silje's uncle has a small saw mill, so we'll likely get what we need from there and make the rest ourselves.
Historical hand sewing isn't hard, nor is embroidery. It just takes time, so patience is a virtue :p We'll likely do the non-visible seams by machine, though, and make the visible ones by hand. I want to embroider on the cloaks. I'm good at nitpicking, so I believe I'll do fine with that :p I was thinking of two ravens and perhaps a vegvisir somewhere.

I think they had to do pretty much everything for a second time. Everything is apparently made in the traditional way, so there really is a lot of work behind it. It shows (:
Might be, though it think it looks more like vines and then leaves. Gives me a bit of a Lothlorien feel, really!

    (Haha, indeed :p Who knows!)

It is pretty! Not drastically different from what I remember, but with some improvements (:

Ooooh, that sounds amazing! *wants to tag along*
    Have fun!

By the way, Silje learned tablet weaving because we're going to finally make our own Norse clothes during the Autumn and Winter. We've bought the cloth we need and everything. We also attended courses for historical hand sewing and embroidery, so it will hopefully go well
