Well, SNES version has more glitches, and I'm not sure if that was the conversion people's fault or the fact they ran out of memory on the cart. Things like item destruction apparently didn't happen in the PC version, leading me to think that was a nasty glitch.

But definitely try Dragon's Bane sometime, as while it departs from the RPG aspect almost entirely to become an adventure/beat-em-up, there's still a story there and the overhead map is intact for the most part. I like how the overworld isn't a giant rectangular island anymore; mountains form your borders and you can avoid random battles by watching out for clouds.
